We really enjoyed our experience at Forbidden Root. We had the pierogies, the soft pretzels, the curry noodle salad, and the hot Nashville chicken sandwich. Everything was really good. Two of our group enjoyed the beer selection. Another got some coffee martini type drink that was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Not a big menu offers a lot of sandwiches if you're into that. And lots of beer choices

I don't drink so I can't speak on that which I assume is the only reason to go here.

BEWARE!!! Do NOT get the FR Ruben!!! Met some coworkers here that were in town for a work event and grabbed food to go. Saw the Ruben on the menu and decided to go with it. ($19). Got home (6 min drive), opened my box and said, “looks good” until I took the first bite, NOTHING BUT FAT NO MEAT AT ALL it’s like they made the mistake of keeping what they trimmed off and threw the meat away and kept the fat….. absolutely the WORST!! So my dinner tonight was literally a beautiful marble rye, sauerkraut, cheese, and fries. The entire sandwich was nothing but fat. A total waste.

Beer was outstanding. Their menu is somewhat limited.

I have been to Forbidden Root several times and every time the service and food are great. Nick, was our server when I brought new friends in and he was also a server when my daughter had a bridal shower there and he's very very good. I do wish you had the brunch menu again. My daughter and her husband and I would come there for their birthdays because that's what they preferred to have. So we do miss that. That would be my one complaint and suggestion .❤️
Service was very poor. No one greeting you at the front. Every staff member walking past you like it's not their problem you haven't even gotten a menu or water.
When you finally get to order ask for your wings extra crispy.
Mine were pretty much underdone.

I do love this restaurant. The food is great and normally the service is too. This last time we felt the waiter should have been more attentive to our needs. I didn't care for the veggie burger, which is old school vegan option. The texture is off and it was a bit over cooked. Enter the 21st Century and replace it with a beyond burger or impossible burger. With that said, I would recommend this place.
We had a Reuben and a Nashville hot chicken. Both were pretty good, but we've had better.

Was not greeted properly. Cocktail was terrible.(Margarita). Service was slow. We were told that an event would take place in 1/2 hour, but we were not attended to.

Nashville chicken sandwich was very tasty and chicken cooked to perfection. Healthy side of fries similar to in taste and texture to McDonald’s. Service was impeccable and very mellow lunch vibes

Was there for a private event: Excellent food (salmon exceptional) and friendly, attentive service. And great wine at a brewery! Whoa!

We came in on a Monday. Not very busy. Had to wait for the hostess who was in the kitchen. First of all the chairs are very uncomfortable. They need a cushion. Our food wasn’t the greatest. My boyfriend got the ribeye sandwich and it had a lot of fat. My cod sandwich was ok. My cesar salad was brown and loaded with dressing. My son had a smash burger which was just ok.
