Forbidden Root Restaurant & Brewery - Columbus

Food was excellent. Server was very good, too, but it appeared she had been booked to cover a huge portion of the restaurant. Drinks from the bar didn't arrive until after our entrees, soft drink refills were slow. She was doing her best, but an additional server or assistant would have helped. Doubling down on the food comment, though. Some of the best you'll find elevated comfort foods you'll find in the area.

Excellent food and atmosphere, good location, not enough wait staff though. Servers were very nice, but only 2 people working, so we had to wait for refills, desserts, etc..

Work brings me to town and I've been coming here with our group about once a month this year with a little break. It's a cool place right in DT Easton, I have always had great service and the food choice is also worthy of mention. Only one drawback, (and this is purely a personal thing), no Bacardi rum which is my go to drink. I do however substitute it with a regular Old Fashioned using their Watershed Bottled in Bond. All in all it gets a big thumbs up from me.

Very tasteful atmosphere and good service. FB beer is always excellent and the “best of” flight was great. The hummus and salsa appetizers were ok. Perogies were excellent (Tuesday only). Ribeye sandwich was dry. Her salmon sandwich was decent. Brussels sprouts were excellent. Would go again for beers without hesitation!

I have been here for a few of CONNECTED networking events & I have yet to try their beer selection. Next time I have to try some, they had a ramen dish a fellow networker had got across from me & she said it was phenomenal & it’s a really good portion. The food comes out pretty efficiently too.

FANTASTIC! Our first visit and we were blown away with the service, brews, apps, entrees, and dessert. Delish! My husband and I had a great date night. I'm a bit sad we didn't try Forbidden Root earlier.

Love the Southern Belle. Ask for it, it is a craft cocktail. It was invented by the bar tender just for this restaurant. Love the mix of bourbon and peaches for the summer.

Delicious barrata appetizer and my husband loved the prime rib special. The smash burger was very tasty. Great service!!!

Server was very busy and was hard to get her attention. Food was just meh for the prices. None of us liked our dishes or said we would go back which was disappointing for the prices. The flavors in one dish was odd, another was bland. There are so many other better food options on that same strip with similar price points.
