This place was fantastic! Our waitress was super and very knowledgeable. I did the house flight and my husband got a 16oz looking out. We shared the cheddar beer bread which was delicious and a great snack before our food come to the table. I had the herb grilled salmon sandwich and he had the Reuben. Both were great but a tad messy from all the sauce and both came with a ton of French fries. I added a strawberry basil hefeweizen and it was nothing like I've tasted before...
Restaurant week.... food mediocre for myself & guest. Beer flight didn't like 4 of 5...waitress graciously deducted from our bill which was nice. We had the pepperoni bread which we'd rate poor as it was doughy. Wings and sauces were good. Bacon was ok...nothing special. Smash burger was ok...only 1 patty for special menu. The pickles were delicious, however, too many raw onions on Burger. Fish was nice portion but blan. Fries were hot, crispy, & tasty. Slaw...
We really enjoyed our experience at Forbidden Root. We had the pierogies, the soft pretzels, the curry noodle salad, and the hot Nashville chicken sandwich. Everything was really good. Two of our group enjoyed the beer selection. Another got some coffee martini type drink that was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.
