I visit the fukuryu ramen Upper Arlington location VERY frequently. I love it there. However, I found they have a location near my work place in Polaris, and will never return. The woman that was running the cash register made it seem like me and the other customers were nuisance to her, she does not belong in the food industry with this attitude. To begin, I was immediately ignored by her, given I was the first customer there at noon. It took the kitchen guys to stand up and say, welcome in. I started off with my regular order I get every week at the UA location: red dragon- sub out pork for the JFC. She immediately told me that’s not possible and I had to walk her through what the cash register says whenever I do it at the other location. She then goes to say that they can do Panko chicken- which is going back on her word she orginally said that she couldn’t do. THEN- immediately know the exact button to press once I asked to speak with one of the guys in the back. I asked for the cucumbers and what they were called, and she grunts back-must be in the small plates section. As if she couldn’t ring me up if I said the exact name. Then I ask for a bottled beer, she asks-what size? I reply with: whichever size that is shown in the fridge I see. She rings me up for the large one-$13. I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt and asked- do you even have any of the large ones in there? Nope. She made my experience miserable and unfortunately I’d like to let management I will not be returning. It’s a shame because I was very excited to frequently visit during my lunch breaks. I spent $40 there today and left feeling like I was in the wrong for coming there. And just to add, the JFC was surprisingly cooked to a dry texture, but there were still portions that were raw, not sure how that happens (see photo). Steer clear of this location, the UA one is very much better!

This being so close to my work is dangerous. Just finished lunch and it was quick, super tasty, and enough for me to bring home for dinner. Will be back!

My favorite ramen restaurant in the columbus area so far. The tonkotsu ramen has a rich, silky, and flavorful broth. It really makes the dish. The ramen noodles have a good bite and holds onto the broth. Pork belly is good but didn't stand out. Ramen toppings provide textural and flavor contrasts.

Wanted to try something new. Drove 40 minutes to try it. The food was good. But the female staff, very rude . Asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and was told they were on break. I'm pretty sure the males were even uncomfortable with the way the females were acting. I will be calling to explain further.

First time here ,I was impressed inside looked clean, young lady who helped us in the front was very knowledgeable on what she knew and very courteous, other staff members not so friendly they didn't even look up to see who came in..The food was alright , I got it "to-go" but I guess I can buy everything dried too and heat up some chicken soup .The only fresh thing was the strips of chicken on top $25 including dumplings (potstickers) in my bowl of Ramen noodle soup.

The food was average and the service was not good. The young lady taking orders had a bad attitude, and was very transactional. Also when I asked for lemons she gave me one slice but I needed 2 slices because the bowl is a nice size. So when I asked for another sloce she was visibly irritated, gave no eye contact, slammed the refrigerator door, handed me the lemon still with no engagement and when I told her thank you she ignored me and walked away.

Ehh it was okay. Second time going. They always add a like sauce to make the ramen taste like burnt meat. I forgot to ask to remove it this time. But what really made me just not like it was they gave me half an egg. Like are you really rationing around here that you can give me the full soft boiled egg. It was about $20 for a bowl so not worth it. The noodles seemed like they were under/overcooked. Not sure but not right that’s for sure. I got the beef tonkatsu.

I my first dish was a Jeff rice bowl it was very dry so I asked for broth . The young lady, who was not helpful at all, tried to charge me almost $6 for soup (broth is not soup idc what nobody say). So I canceled my order and decided to order a ramen shoyu bowl since it was happy hour. The bowl was terrible . The chicken looked and taste like pork. The broth was like warm. The egg was still cold and the ramen taste old. I dipped the dry chicken from my JFC bowl into the broth so I wouldn’t choke. I’ll never go there again. 2 outta 10 I WLD NOT RECOMMEND!

Great ramen, atmosphere is one of any other fast food joint. I just can’t get past the female employee at the register… I don’t think you’ll find a more unpleasant human.Easy to look past for good food.

Food is mid grade at best and the prices they charge here aren’t worth it. Look elsewhere for ramen.
