Went on a Friday and had to sit at the bar to order food because the indoor dining area was mostly full (this is a “seat yourself” establishment). I felt the bar service was great in terms of drinks, but the entrees were overpriced and I was expecting everything to taste more fresh.
I try to stop here every time I'm in Columbus and each time I've had the pleasure of having Andy as my bartender. They're very good at identifying the kind of beer I'll enjoy and are such a delight to have a conversation with! Chelsea also indulged my questions about Turkish coffee, which I greatly appreciate. I can't recommend this place enough!
Firstly this place is quite stunning in large part due to the lovely stained glass windos all along the bar wall. The menu is not particularly large, but the food is always quite good ( I had a Reuben), and the beer is delightful! A very German beer list (not your usual amount of IPA selections). I had a Pils and it was crisp and Delicious. Prices were quite reasonable. It can be a bit noisy as it is a traditional beer hall. Lovely place!
