Not your parents’ Grandview cafe! If you’ve been around a while, then you’ve seen the cafe go through many changes over the years, some good and some less so. The current iteration is kind of like Grandview itself these days - a bit overpriced, kind of hipster-y but the family friendly version, and lots of loud TVs that few people seem to be watching. I've been here for dinner in the past but this time my wife and I stopped with our adult daughter and her two girls (teen/adolescent) for lunch. Thankfully we were able to find a parking space nearby...parking is a real premium around here. Our server was exceptional - I wish I had caught her name. The food selections were ample even for a couple of vegetarians in our group. Our food and drinks were excellent and all served with a smile. I would recommend the Grandview Cafe...
I've been here twice now.
The first time for dinner. We were seated at the table closest to the door and it was so cold and it was so loud inside it wasn't ideal. We have it another go and came for brunch. This time seated upstairs. We got water to start and tastes so bad. Straight chlorine pool water. They really need to get that filtered. Then a few of us ordered potatoes with our meals and they were cooked so unevenly. Some were so undercooked it was not...
