This will definitely be my go to place for omakase in Ohio! I strongly encourage the premium tour for anyone who appreciates sushi.

Absolutely amazing. Will be back and soon. From start to finish. Everything was delicious. Presentation was beautiful. The thought and care that goes into the fish selection and cuts is clear. Had a wonderful experience. Highly highly recommend.

I dined at Haru Omakase last night. While the food and service were great overall, the experience started off on the wrong foot. I had made a reservation three weeks in advance specifically for the chef’s table and even received a confirmation. However, when we arrived, the host told us there were no available seats at the chef’s table—even after we showed proof of our confirmation. The host's response was dismissive and unpleasant, which was disappointing.
We had adjusted our schedule to make the time they had available for the chef’s table, so it felt frustrating—especially considering I was previously charged $35 per person when we couldn’t make a reservation a couple weeks prior. The restaurant did comp us for the premium tour, which we appreciated.
The food was fresh and delicious, and our server was very kind and attentive. The chef still came around to greet us, which added a nice personal touch. I've dined at places like Nobu before, and while Haru’s menu is a bit simpler, the quality is excellent and more reasonably priced.
Overall, we still had a good time, but the initial interaction with the host left a sour impression. A bit more care and training at the front of house could’ve made this a five-star experience.

Haru Omakase offers an exquisite dining experience that is truly unparalleled. Whether you're seated at the counter or at a table, each tour is a delicious journey in itself. After having spent many years abroad in Asia myself, this was an authentically delectable menu. Each bite surpassed the one before it, with every piece melting in my mouth like butter.
With Ricky guiding each course and Michael’s meticulous eye for detail, Chef Yudi delivers a truly transcendent experience. A culinary genius in his own right, Yudi draws on the wisdom of masters while crafting a vision uniquely his own. Ricky enhanced every tasting with thoughtful commentary, sharing the origin of each fish, the preparation techniques, and the philosophy behind the pairings. Serena, our server, exuded quiet grace and an encyclopedic knowledge of every ingredient's origin, as well. All of this transformed the meal from a fine dining event into a personal, immersive, and educational journey.
This was not our first visit nor will it be our last as the consistency of excellent food is unbelievably held. ❤️ Thank you, Chef Yudi and Crew! ❤️

Haru Omakase: A Columbus Gem 💎
Seriously, if you're looking for an incredible dining experience in Columbus, Haru Omakase is it. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and drove a little over an hour and would happily repeat the drive to Haru anyday!
The ambience is so relaxing from the moment you walk in, setting the perfect stage for what's to come - a relaxing multi-course meal that's a no-brainer thanks to the amazing waitstaff who are so knowledgeable.
Their traditional menu right now is pure magic. We kicked things off with a starter salad featuring watermelon radish that was so refreshing and light – it totally set the tone for a flavorful, delicious, and not-too-heavy meal.
But let's talk about the stars of the show. The grunt fish with tamarind sauce was out of this world; the tamarind just perfectly complemented the fish, creating this unforgettable flavor combo. And the specials? Oh man. The bluefin tuna special and their current saltwater eel literally felt like they evaporated in my mouth. Everything was just so melt-in-your-mouth savory!
And to wash it all down, the sake sangria was super refreshing and paired beautifully with everything. Even dessert was a winner – light, airy, and crumbly, it was the perfect delicate finish.
A huge shoutout to our waitress, Serena. She was incredibly attentive, personable, and just awesome at answering all our questions and explaining the menu. Plus, it was a really nice touch that the chef himself came over to chat about our meal; he was so knowledgeable and down-to-earth.
Haru Omakase isn't just dinner; it's a whole experience. If you're in the mood for something truly special, you've got to check them out.

My husband and I had the pleasure of celebrating our anniversary at Haru last week, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we were seated, we were warmly welcomed with complimentary celebratory wine—a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the evening. It was wonderful to have our anniversary acknowledged, and our server went above and beyond, attentively anticipating our needs throughout the meal.
I opted for the Premium Tour, while my husband chose the Tour, wanting to explore before potentially adding more dishes. Each course was beautifully presented, highlighting the natural flavors of the main ingredients. The garnishes and delicate layers of sauce enhanced the overall taste without overpowering it. Every piece of fish was incredibly fresh—especially the salmon and tuna, which melted in our mouths. My husband even remarked that the buttery texture reminded him of our sashimi experience at Tsukiji Market in Tokyo.
The chefs were not only skilled but also wonderfully engaging. After chatting with them about live octopus dishes in Korea, they generously offered us complimentary octopus and uni. Both were delicious, but the uni, in particular, was outstanding—so fresh, sweet, and buttery. It perfectly captured the spirit of omakase, which is all about tailoring the meal to the customer’s preferences.
As frequent omakase diners—especially when traveling to Hawaii or Japan—we were genuinely impressed by Haru’s quality. It easily stood up to some of the best experiences we’ve had in places known for fresh seafood. We’re thrilled to have a restaurant of this caliber right here in Westerville, and we left feeling grateful, satisfied, and already looking forward to our next visit.

Writing this review from the parking lot after our meal due to the intensity of my satisfaction :).
Absolutely fantastic experience and flavors. True Omakase experience in Westerville/Columbus. So, so, so glad we saw this driving by and came in on a whim.
I’ve had TONS of sushi and seafood all over (including Japan) and these are some of the best and freshest flavors I’ve ever enjoyed. 5 stars - will 100% be back next time we’re in town.

Was lucky enough to get a spot at the chefs table. Wonderful service from the time we walked in. Loved watching the chefs in action, they truly care about the quality of the fish and are extremely knowledgeable and personable. Recommend the saki pairing with the chefs choice. Can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely amazing experience! Very attentive staff, and the food was outstanding. We did the premium tour and the food exceeded my expectations! We sat at the chef’s table and it was so fun to see them construct the dishes. The chefs were so friendly and gave in depth information about the dishes. We had such a wonderful time! Pacing of the meal was wonderful— did not feel rushed at all. We spent about an hour and 45 min there. You’re able to add premium pieces as well. They used very high quality ingredients, including black truffles and actual wasabi rhizomes. I can’t say good enough things! The chef said he changes the menu every 6 weeks. It will be difficult not to go back for each tour! I highly recommend sitting at the chef’s table for a truly unique experience and make a reservation as soon as you can!

This is fantastic. Pretentious attitudes would have you try and compare this to other fine dining or other omakase that you've seen before. Doing so will only ever detract from you enjoying yourself.
The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. The presentation and thought that appears to go into each dish was inspiring.
At the end of the day, I left completely satisfied with a full belly and feeling truly happy with the experience I had. I will return.

Had a wonderful experience at the chef's table here this evening. Very excited to see a high quality Omakase restaurant come to Columbus.
The Chef's menu was thoughtfully prepared, and all of the different combinations were delicious. I thought the presentation of 3 sushi at once in a course was lovely.
Would absolutely recommend.

Very good upscale traditional sushi place. Chef is trying very hard to have an amazing experience. With a little bit of effort, this place could become a Michelin guide restaurant. Atmosphere is great even through build out is not very expensive but is done tastefully. Service is top notch and food presentation and quality is phenomenal. Some parents could have been a little bit spicier if not for Ohio but overall this restaurant delivers a very upscale experience.
