Omg! What an experience. I wish Fort Wayne had a place like this. Started off with thee warmest greeting from Kevin the manager of the location. He explain menu items patiently and gave me suggestions on the selections he liked the most. Crazy thing. I'm not a mac n' chz fan or bake bean fan. I rarely eat either but Kevin suggested I try them and suggested I try 'em the way HE eats them. Mixed! That was way out of my league but he was really on to something! I loved it! Medium sauce on chicken is more bold than hot. Fried Pickles were good. Everything was good. Kevin really is THAT guy tho. He checked on everyone. Super friendly but not fake. Genuine. Like the family member that wants to make sure you're eating good. He was very generous as well. The restaurant was clean. Food was fresh. Can't wait to go back.

If you want "Nashville Hot" style chicken then absolutely give this place a try. The "Warm" spice level is just a little hotter than regular "Buffalo Wings" (traditionally made with Frank's Red Hot" and are probably just right for folks who want spicy, but not pain. If you're a chili head, or thrill seeker, then you'll want a higher spice level. The place was nice and clean, the temperature inside pleasant, and the assistant manager who helped me at the counter was very pleasant and friendly. If you're looking for more affordable prices then try the M-W $10 lunch special. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is that some of the prices, especially the $3.50 for coleslaw or $3 for a soda are just too damn high. I can't accept any place charging $3 for a fountain drink when it's essentially ten cents worth of corn syrup + water. And $3.50 for coleslaw? Why? Cabbage is known for being cheap, it's what you eat when you're too poor to afford something else.Normally coleslaw is something that just comes with a meal, not something you pay extra for?Anyway, sign up for the app, save $5, and give it a try - who knows, maybe you'll love it and maybe you'll find the side prices to be worth it.

The new Kale Caesar Salad with chicken is my new favorite! Even though I know it says it’s a limited time I hope they choose to keep it!

Used to love this place, it’s really gone downhill. I don’t know if they just don’t stir up their sauces, but the hot flavors aren’t hot anymore. These used to come out red— now you barely see any specs of seasoning. This has happened multiple times in a row. Don’t see a point in coming back if this is the new norm. Really disappointing.

HCT in Clintonville has brought back their original-recipe mac & cheese, and the rest of our order – hot thighs and slaw – is just as I remember it from before. The portions were fine – we even had an extra thigh in one of our boxes for some reason.

2024 Review:Sadly, HCT has not kept up the quality over the years, portion sizes are smaller, the pudding is not as good (often runny). Super bummed about the nosedive, but Dave's Hot Chicken is much better in my opinion. I no longer recommend to friends and family.2018 Review:This place is a casual environment with some really tasty food. I tried the "hot" level chicken and it was delicious. Not painful, but enjoyably hot.I've been back again to get the "holy" spice level, but I couldn't really tell the difference between the two. The mac and cheese was really amazing as well. The staff was friendly and helped to decide what to get since I was a first timer. I also though the free sweet tea was a really nice gesture you don't often see in Columbus!

Run, don’t walk on Tuesday nights to the locations with Gluten Free options. We stopped Clintonville and got the GF breasts, waffle fries cooked in a separate fryer and Ma’s slaw plus excessive amounts of ranch and hot ranch. It was the best meal in a while. Often being gf, you just eat at home to avoid problems but this was amazing! Thank you for doing a great job!

I got carryout last week and they forgot my baked beans :(Also, I generally love this place but don't eat it often, so it's a little treat. Unfortunately, my visit last week resulted in no beans which I was excited to try, and the ranch is definitely not as good as it used to be. The mac also tasted like soap which is very unlike this place. I won't let one bad experience get me down, but it was concerning and made me worry for the future of this place opening more locations. Crossing my fingers it was a fluke!

Disappointing. Pre-COVID this place used to be great. The taste is still as good as it ever was, but the rest of the quality has become inconsistent. With my most recent order the portion size looked as big as it used to but large chunks of the chicken were unchewably tough. On a previous visit the meat was great but the portions were smaller. Inconsistent. Also it's inconvenient since if you order online for pick up you pay an extra premium (or at least it was that way the last time I ordered pick up), so you have to walk in and wait if you want to pay the real prices.

Best chicken, waffle fries, and mac and cheese. Very fresh, you can tell everything is made in house. Also service is great, Kevin made our experience awesome!
