Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar

this restaurant is infested with mice. after eating there with my family we saw mice under the table running in and out of a opening in the floor were the plumbing is.

The food is so yummy! My go to Japanese restaurant!!! Hands down the best! Great staff always so nice and accommodating!

I hate to leave a bad review, in part because the service was great, but the food was not. Sushi was far from fresh, and even the miso soup (which is hard to mess up) was not good.

The quality has gone down hill. We ordered to go today because we didn’t want to drive across town to Hibachi place on Hamilton Rd (delicious). We told the young lady that it has been pretty bland, that it has been hit-or-miss as far as a seasoned meal. We asked that she relay that so that it wouldn’t be bland, so we could enjoy our meal. She told us she would put soy sauce in the bag. I should’ve known that our experience would be disappointing from that point. It was.

I ordered 3 maki rolls off GrubHub for lunch. I was excited they had bbq eel and Philly rolls. The eel in the sushi was so hard and chewy and tasted off. The salmon in the philly roll was just smoked salmon. Not fresh sushi grade salmon.

This was my first time eating here, and because it is a Japanese restaurant, I figured they would have good sushi.

I ended up throwing it all away and getting a grubhub refund because I was afraid of getting sick if I ate it.

Great place, the staff is friendly and the food was great. I got the filet mignon and lobster with fried rice and everything came out great. I had my wife, mother in law and 2 year old son there. He was a bit scared of the fire so the chef was nice enough to tone that all down while still keeping him completely captivated with his showmanship, flipping the spatula and fork around. All in all a great experience and would recommend

Used to eat here all the time but now not so much the food portion are way to small for price and my wife found small pieces of Metal in her food last time we’re eat there .
