I recently moved to cbus and was staying at a hotel while searching for an apartment. I went to Gilbert’s close by. The food was delicious but expensive. I returned for lunch so that I could spend less but enjoy their food again. I sat in a booth at the bar. Very few patrons were there. First of all, the prices changed to dinner after I ordered for lunch, even though I arrived in time. I ordered the crab bisque soup, which I enjoyed. Then I received prime rib, which was not tender at all, and I had requested medium rare. It came with a loaded baked potato which was cold on half and slightly warm for the other half. It also came with grilled asparagus, which was definitely cold, and had an unpleasant off taste. I was disappointed, but I decided to take it home to “doctor it up” for later. I ordered water to drink. There was no bread on the side. A ? manager stopped by before I got my to-go box and asked me about the meal. I told him I was disappointed. I wasn’t going to seek him out actually, but he did ask. His attitude immediately changed to suspicious of me. I was afraid of that so I almost never complain. After a 20% tip, the meal cost me over $80, so I wasn’t going to leave it behind. The waiter offered free dessert, but I didn’t want the attitude. I ordered dessert, but it wasn’t free. It was very good however, so I didn’t leave hungry for sure. After the first meal, I wanted to take my daughter and family there. But I don’t plan to ever go back.

Exceptional service from start to finish! We were the last reservation of the holiday, but the staff still welcomed us with so much kindness and made us feel like valued guests. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and never made us feel rushed. The food was wonderful, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the entire team for ending our holiday on such a great note. We'll definitely be back!
Great food, great service & atmosphere was awesome as we were celebrating our 49th anniversary. Manager stopped by our table twice to make sure everything was good for our celebration. Free dessert! So nice!
We have been here twice (both times for my bday). Its absolutely beautiful and the staff is amazing.
My husband thought the French Onion soup was just ok but he loved his steak and sides. My steak was good and sides were nice. My husband also had the 24-Layer cake and he said it was very good. I had the raspberry ice cream and loved it.
Overall I would recommend a visit
Great experience. The portions were perfect. Service was top class. Highly recommend the Old Fashion if you enjoy a good bourbon. The Filet was tender and full of flavor. I was going to post my Kansas City strip, but it was gone too fast.
This is an excellent place to eat, the service was outstanding! Food was really good, we had the prime rib, their cream corn is delicious and the atmosphere was nice. More of a upscale place but we were able to have dinner even though we were under dresses. Shorts and t-shirts. This place is higjly recommended by me.
Gf got filet and said it was the most tender she's ever had. She also got a blackberry martini which was good and made me ~45% funnier for the evening, so win-win
I got ribeye and it was fantastic, the cap was perfection
Steaks come w 2 sides - potatoes are great, gf didnt love broccolini, i had creamed corn and bacon which i liked but im a total glutton so your mileage may vary
We split a pasta as well, the chicken rigatoni. Girlfriend took her portion home but i liked mine, steak honestly outshined it though maybe we shouldve had pasta come out first instead of at same time.
Either way was a great meal, servers were understanding when in all of my brilliance i waltzed into the kitchen looking for the bathroom

First time was a wonderful experience, especially with Danielle (Dany) being our waitress. When we return, we will be asking for her as she has a bubbly, friendly personality who likes to get to know her clientele! She went out of her way to take care of us. Please ask for when you go.

It has peaked and is now on the steady down slope. Needs refreshed and remade to make it relevant.
Excellent food and service. I always recommend this restaurant to visiting friends and family. Stephanie took great care of us!

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. My wife and decided on takeout and chose this restaurant because of its proximity to home and reputation in reviews for high end food. We ordered the short rib gnocchi ($34) and the Blackened Seared Scallops ($46). Given these prices our expectation was high.
Disappointment was immediate, upon opening entree cartons. See attached pictures of scant serving sizes. These are snacks, not a meal. The short ribs were small and fatty. I paid $34 for some gnocchi.
The scallops were tiny, I paid $46 for mostly creamed corn.
On the plus side the 24 layer cake was hefty and delicious. But I don’t choose restaurants for the dessert.
