This place should be packed every night! Real southern fried catfish? In Columbus? Take it from an Arkansas native, that fish is totally legit! So delicious. And the mac & cheese might be the best we've ever had in a restaurant. It's baked, not swimming in soupy fake cheese and the flavor is awesome. My non-fish-eating wife liked the chicken fingers just fine. The counter-service staff was friendly. The place just needs more people so I hope this review gets y'all over here!

Shrimp wasn't jumbo it had no flavor taste like water and the texture was like rubber the wings were decent Fry's were slightly over cooked pecan pie was great

I feel that the menu needs updated menu states an order of fries is 2.50 but rung up as 3.00 and a customer should be told upfront that the prices have increased I was visiting from outta town and the price of a individual order of fries and the amount that you get definitely isn't worth 3.00 I can see if they were fresh cut fries but they weren't an order of fries should've filled the container for 3.00 just wasn't worth it to me only still ordered because I haven't eaten and needed to put something on my stomach good customer service tho my only issue is the quantity and pricing not matching up

Great fried foods and service with personality. Fried whiting plate was tasty w side of okra. Read some other reviews and disagree w the 3 and 4 star ratings because you got to know you coming to a fried fish and chicken spot, not a fine dining spot. With that in mind it’s a 5/5 and you can’t really find as much clean, great service spots like this any more. They got plenty of desserts too and I heard it’s black women owned so it’s a gem. Will be back.

The lady at the counter was polite and friendly and the food ranges from decent to very good - I particularly liked the fried shrimp with their light, crispy, and well seasoned coating. The chicken wings were decent, but, not particularly crispy after being drenched in "Buffalo Sauce".
The Mac & Cheese was satisfying but the portion was rather small. The French Fries were also decent, but, nothing special - just the basic "crinkle cut" fries that you get frozen in a bag. I'd say that's one area where they could improve - maybe make their own cut "twice fried" fries for extra crunch,
Two of the guys in my party ordered the Banana Pudding and said it was very good (it was kind of funny how fast they ate it ? (hi Bart! ?).
I don't eat much catfish myself, but, if you do, this seemed like a place that would make it well.

Great food. The service was excellent. Prices are great. I will be back soon. I have already recommended to multiple people.
First time in, and we were happy with the experience overall. Atmosphere is pretty stark, but clean with bright seating. We were there at 4:30 pm on Saturday and were surprised to have it to ourselves. But counter service was friendly. Ordered 3-piece perch dinner and 2-piece catfish. Perch was fine, catfish was very good. Fries were fresh and hot, crispy. Side of okra was large and very good. Mac n Cheese was very good, too. Ample portions and all hot. Only disappointment was they were out of cole slaw, onion rings, bake beans, and fried pies. Those rate highly and we wanted to try them. It was before dinner hours so it was surprising some of the most popular dishes were unavailable so early in the evening. But we’ll definitely use this place for carry-out in the future, as fried fish does not come easily around here!

I happened upon this place on google. I have been 3 times and the food is perfect each time. I wish the inside had a better vibe, it is kind of stiff. But paper towels at each table is a nice touch! I wish parking was easier to maneuver.Most of all - I wish they had better hours. It is bizarre how a restaurant closes at 4p during the week and 8p on weekends. Please stay open longer!
