the middle aged guy (I think was manager) taking our order was very annoyed taking our order when I asked a question about a food in menu and spoke a very sarcastic and rude tone taking the rest of the order. Dude likely had a bad day that day but doesn’t excuse the him giving awful service
Will this place ever reopen?
Joy's has been a staple all through college and still remains a staple for me. Amazing food with good portions and price. All the bad reviews are for their fried rice: DO NOT GET THEIR FRIED RICE.Instead, get their hot & spicy chicken, garlic pork (I always substitute for beef), black pepper beef, satay chicken/tofu or mongolian beef. All their vege dishes are good, not your typical Chinese restaurant. If you like noodles, get their Phad See Ew with shrimp. Owner is Malaysian-Chinese, the food feeds my soul and truly cures my homesickness.

Delicious food! Especially for college students. They’re so nice and changed my order because I messed up ordering. Love this place
Still the best Chinese Food after 30 years!!!
Very nice meal. Good portions and relaxed atmosphere.
The service is sort of rude. The food is below average, compared with other Chinese restaurants on high street.
Get three cups of chicken and Mala chicken here! It’s so so so good. I don’t live in Columbus but sometime drive 2 hours for their food.
the manager here is really mean and the flavor here is not good
Good scallion pancake and vegetable lo mein

Three cup chicken, shredded pork in spicy sauce and beef stew in special spicy sauce are my favorites
Rude behaviour
This was a hidden gem for the longest. They raised prices by like 40% or 50% last few years and it just is hard to justify lately. Such a shame tho and 10% or 15% would be fine but they really ran to town with price gouging

As a college student, Joy's Village is a fantastic place to eat. Staff is organized and efficient. It's not the most authentic food, but it is much more authentic than anything else you'll find anywhere near or around the OSU campus. Regardless, authenticity should not be a concern since there are lots of options which are delicious and a fair price. My best experience is when I ordered close to the time they close and they still happily served me quality food.
