My wife had been wanting to visit Lisska's for years after seeing it profiled on a local WOSU program about Columbus neighborhoods. It is a throwback to the old-school corner bar & grill where locals spend time with each other eating delicious homemade comfort food and enjoying the company. Don't go in expecting fancy decor. But do look around. Enjoy all of the pictures and treasures on display from the past while you enjoy your meal.
Great breakfast and lunch with Great service with great food. Family owned since before they changed their name to “Liskas” in the 1930s. Old fashioned bar with good old fashioned food right here on east fifth ave. Interesting drive bar ... Was there around 1pm on a Thursday afternoon. Not many people there at this time. It was sort of like stepping back in time to the places my grandpa brought me to all the time when I was a kid... Brought back great memories! Patty behind the bar was VERY friendly! The roast beef sandwich was delicious. Will for sure stop back in when in the area.
