Rooms are too small, but nice, beds are comfortable, neat experience, so many great places within walking distance. But I’ll never stay at one of these again. Not my type of place. I prefer a Residence Inn.

Cute hotel. Nice staff. The free cocktail was very sweet maybe opt for a beer. Be warned that Valet is cheaper than opting to self park in the garage. I wish they’d advertise that better! Valet is $25 per NIGHT vs garage was $50 (parked from 4pm check in - 11AM the following day). Also, coming from Cleveland I wanted to try a new restaurant but couldn’t resist town hall being connected to our hotel. Definitely recommend it!!

If you're reading this then the chances are that you're familiar with the funky vibe of the Moxy hotels. I deliberately stayed here because I love the style and the location of this hotel. There's a fantastic bar on the roof, as well as a terrific restaurant on the ground floor. The hotel is in the middle of the fantastic Short North neighborhood. Well worth a visit.

Recently on a trip to Columbus I stayed at the Moxy Short North Columbus, while the space was well decorated and the staff was reasonably friendly, I was left extremely disappointed in the accommodations (especially at this price point). The room was ridiculously small and the parking situation was frankly ridiculous. The only upside to this hotel is the location which is walking distance to anywhere in the short north, downtown, and arena district but you are likely better off staying anywhere else in the area unless you have hundreds of dollars to light on fire and absolutely love millennial instagram-chic decor circa 2015.

For what it’s worth, this hotel definitely shows up on plenty of influencer lists of unique boutique hotels in Columbus. Whether those spots are purchased or not well interrogated is certainly a question I have after following their advice and booking a stay here. From the very outset, the elevator system requires a keycard and has you choose a floor when you call it. (No buttons inside the elevator) While I’m sure this is great for security, EVERYONE we rode with during our stay expressed a similar frustration with the system. Oh, and check in is on the second floor up the elevator you don’t know how to use yet.Check in was easy. It’s in the bar and the folks at the unmarked check in cart will do nothing to welcome you or guide you to them despite seeing you walk in with luggage looking generally confused. They do give you free drink tokens for your stay. That’s nice. The room was a king room. Here’s where things get bad and uncomfortable. Everything was low to the ground. There are no surfaces to put your luggage on, the usb ports in the wall sockets don’t work, the toilet is a square and too wide, there is no where to sit, no where to put ANYTHING that doesn’t hang from a hook on the wall. No coffee maker. No iron. No robes. No microwave. Just a minifridge a bed and your slow building regret. There is a TV placed awkwardly high and cattycorner from the bed though so it was nice standing in front of it to watch the news in the morning. The location is great. Plenty of bars and restaurants and nightlife right outside the doors of the hotel, on the bottom floor of the hotel, through the windows of the hotel, next door to your room, upstairs. It’s a party around here and it doesn’t stop until about 4am.Great place to stay in Cbus if you don’t care about amenities, sleep quality, service, or the overall vibe.

Do not go here if you are colored. I was racially profiled and assaulted for just trying to hang out on the top deck. I was wearing camo clothes and they said they had to check me but let a group of Mexicans walk in with no issue. I had to wait 2 hours to just get told no then when I spoke up security came in hit me in the back of the head causing me to go to the hostpital. But that’s not all. When I fell to the ground after getting hit they were kicking me and still tryna put me as the wrong person saying I swinger when it was all recorded. So I highly recommend you do not go here unless you want this to happen.

Stayed for the first time and initially thought the “vibe” was original and fun. BUT, there was no hot water the entire time we stayed. I don’t know about you but I cannot take a cold shower, especially in the winter. When checking out and wishing to discuss the problem with staff (who acknowledged the problem, stating others had also conveyed), the ladies passed off the responsibility to Susan (manager). Then, after leaving and trying to call Susan three times, she did not answer. Despite leaving a message she did not return our calls. For a Marriott property with which we have stayed multiple times, this hotel was a poor representation of the Marriott brand. We will never stay there again, unless Susan responds, sends the hoodie we left behind and refunds a portion of the hotel charges. I would give service a higher score but for the cold water and Susan, and the lack of response to all guests that experienced the same thing.Walkability: It could be so much more. Considering sleeping and showering two of the basics, they get a 50%.

The hotel has a club right on top of the rooms and it makes the walls vibrate impossible to sleep. The music is so loud that it goes across the entire hotel.

Such a cute and fun hotel! I loved the room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city. Cannot wait to visit again!

Nice place but don’t book it if you like your breakfast options. This location offers “Morning Bites” only.Bagels, pound cakes and frozen sausage breakfast sandwiches. You can warm them up but neither the toaster nor the microwave were working the mornings I was there. The front desk staff was trying to help but couldn’t . Only regular coffee available, no decaf, although the coffee was very good. There are coffee shops with limited food around the area that open at 7:00 am.I generally like Moxys brand but this one could use a little help with breakfast.Noteworthy details: Very limited breakfast options

Great hotel with a great location. It’s located near so many amazing bars and restaurants. The rooms are a little on the smaller side, but very clean and comfortable in my opinion! Definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a fun weekend trip with friends or date night in Short North!
