Went for a quick dinner while visiting from MichiganAs we are fun of Mexican food we decided to eat here.Food was good, avacado rolls were tasty, Veggie chimichanga was average, spicy margarita was a large drink and it was my favorite.I will recommend the place and will visit again.
The service is very good for a campus restaurant, we went before a movie at Gateway at a less busy time on Friday at 6p and were seated with no wait. The service is friendly although they do speak Spanish (a plus given the restaurant). The drinks were fairly quick and of good volume.The food is good but there are certainly better Mexican restaurants in Columbus particularly on the Northwest side. Plaza Mexican Grill isn't outstanding food or drink wise, BUT their daily specials are honestly a great deal. For $6 jumbo margs and $2 tacos, my partner and I came here for our weekly date almost every week this past summer. The al pastor and carnitas are our fav tacos, although the carnitas is sometimes a bit dry. The only one I recommend steering clear of is the shredded chicken, because it is VERY dry and flavorless.
