This used to be one of the best spots. Unfortunately, the quality and flavor has gone down hill. I got a beef and onion bowl with a side of marinated egg. The beef was very dry and hard to chew, and the egg was cold. I question whether the egg was marinated as there was no flavor to it at all. Really disappointing as I used to enjoy eating here, but I don’t think I’ll be returning based on my experience.

I often come to eat here at Tensuke during my visits to Columbus. Last Wednesday, while me and my family were passing through the area during a road trip, we decided to stop here for dinner. The food here is warm, delicious and authentic, and there is good selection, as well. (We especially loved their new Chashu Rice Bowls, a must-try here!) The restaurant has a very nice, modern, bright and well-decorated atmosphere, and the service is great, with friendly, attentive staff. Overall this is a great Japanese restaurant, and we will be coming back to eat here next time!

DO NOT GO HERE ANYMORE!! Back when it used to be Tensuke Express with the past store manager, everything was splendid. The people, food atmosphere. Now with this new manager, he has made it impossible to go back to how it used to be, when the food was actually good, the workers were on tasks instead of on phones, etc. This new manager has told older workers to “not disturb the younger workers if they’re messing around on their phones and don’t bother them” TERRIBLE NEW MANAGEMENT, food has downgraded so much that it’s not even worth it at all. New manager has DISMISSED any and all opinions and voices from former workers that worked there for the past manager, about complaints when he met with each individual one-on-one when he first came in as the new boss. Hence why there is maybe 1-2 people who stayed for the new boss and the rest quit, for the better… Don’t give a business your money when they get a new manager that ruins everything. The market next door is still fine but this restaurant, I am no longer a customer of and DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYMORE

really like this place, i go here a lot with my friend. gave four stars for service because i accidentally ordered for here instead of takeout and my request for a takeout bowl was declined.
I got the miso ramen—it was tasty, but they didn’t let me have a real bowl to eat outside, even though there’s a table in front of the restaurant. Overall, my food was absolutely cold… even though I saw someone else carrying a bowl outside. I’ll be nice and give them 4 stars—for cold ramen.
Changed their recipe on the chashu. Was downright gross, like eating overcooked fatty bacon. Cheff told me they were changing it back, so I returned. Waste of a 45m drive, still gross.
Great broths, idk about other toppings. The chashu has been my go-to for years. (Photo was with good chashu)
The teriyaki chicken is fantastic.
Don't go expecting the eel bowl, they run out before dinner seevice.

Udon and Takoyaki are excellent :-) Good chewy noodles in a light flavorful broth, nice crisp to the outside of the takoyaki, with a pretty generous amount of octopus inside too. Tonkotsu ramen is always yummy and fatty and flavorful, with a good soft boiled egg. Karaage added to ramen soaks up the broth and its really good!
Staff is always super friendly, and everything is kept super clean. Water is self serve and you're generally expected to bus your own table.
I’ve been coming to Tensuke since it opened and I’m so sad to see how the food quality has declined. As a vegetarian, I always enjoyed the vegan miso ramen but suddenly they took it off the menu and now there are no ramen options for vegetarian or vegan people whatsoever. Pretty much every other ramen place has those offerings and it was very disappointing to not have that accessible. In addition, my partner ordered the shoyu ramen and said it tasted different and for the worse. The broth was not as creamy and hearty as it normally was. We also ordered the edamame which came wilted and lukewarm. I’m sad to say I won’t be coming back anymore after years and years of loving this restaurant. We will find another ramen restaurant.
Our favorite sushi place. Good quality rolls, prepared well.
Great food but it looks like the ramen bowl shrank.
Food and service is ok. Very limited food options.
