The menus even have "Tensuke Ramen" written on them with no mention of Tensuke Express. Seems they're going through a rebrand, and not for the better. I can understand the price increase, but everything else is for the worse.I've moved away from Columbus after eating here for 8+ years. Always loved the food so I drove 3 hours to eat here once more... I arrived and it was Closed. Their hours have updated on Weekdays to 4pm-8pm only. Came back later only to discover the menu change. The Pork Cutlet Curry was my favorite dish from this place and is no longer available. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bowl, I've enjoyed it previously but this time I was given an uncut chicken breast and cold broccoli that made it awkward to eat. Food doesn't taste the same, the quality that made this place shine is definitely gone.I used to love Tensuke Express but unless it changes back, I won't be returning. What a bummer.

This was literally my favorite restaurant in all of Columbus. I would tell any and everyone who would listen to come here.I was never the biggest fan of the ramen- it's everything else on the menu that really shines- or should I say shined? I came in recently to discover almost everything on the menu was gone to focus on the ramen. I was absolutely floored. The prices on everything were also all increased. The shining star of the whole menu-the beef curry- is now replaced with a less delicious chicken curry. And to add insult to injury, the curry doesn't even come with the cutlets any more. But most disturbing is that the miso soup is no longer included- or even served at all! What kind of Japanese restaurant doesn't have miso soup?!? I can go to any inauthentic "Japanese" or Asian chain restaurant and get miso, but apparently not at Tensuke Express.I'm baffled and offended at the menu changes, it's a complete step backwards. I really hope things go back to the way they were before, but I'm not holding my breath.
Extremely upset, I was looking forward to my birthday in May only to find out the entire menu was pretty much dumped. This was my favorite place to eat, but now I don't think I'm gonna go anymore. I used to swing by this joint to grab my usual: beef curry rice with chicken cutlets, for around $13. But guess what? Now it's a whopping $22 because they've started charging extra for the chicken cutlets, which are even smaller than before. They’ve also ditched all the cool stuff from their menu to focus solely on ramen. No more spicy kimchi ramen either. Why would they claim to focus on ramen and then remove their best ramen bowls?And to add insult to injury, they're telling people to go buy their old favorites at Tensuke Market. But let's be real, it's not the same as having it fresh from the restaurant. It used to be super convenient for me to grab dinner on my way home from work, but now it's just sad they didn't give us a heads up about the changes.I get it, prices go up, but cutting down the menu was a bad call. And don't even get me started on their weekday hours—only open for 4 hours? Seriously? It's like they don't want our business.

Went in today for lunch to get the BBQ eel bowl, but I only found out stepping inside that they gutted practically half of their menu options in favor of being primarily ramen noodles. Nothing wrong with that particular dish, but they were known for having a wider selection.This was the only place I knew to serve eel, but now I'll have to look elsewhere.

I've been coming to tensuke express for a couple years now. The food is good and staff are nice. But I don't like the menu change, there are less options to add on. I liked having the option adding toppings of egg, or kimchi, or curry, etc. It's something that you couldn't get anywhere else but now it is gone. PLZ BRING IT BACKKKK !!!! ಥ‿ಥ

The food is extremely good but we went on a Thursday late afternoon and it was a 30 min wait for us to get our food. We didn't mind too much since it was also busy but if you're looking for "fast" food, maybe go earlier in the day. If you're from California the beef onion bowl is the closest thing to the beef bowl from yoshinoya so not only was the food good it was also nostalgic for me.

I love love love this place!!! Ramen is good, cutlet is good, shrimp is good. My whole family loves this place. Kind people, service is good (they are making things pretty much fresh), delish food! Price is a bit much but honestly, what isn't anymore?Kid-friendliness: So many options that even children will have an easy time picking what they like
