We had a great dinner at The Eagle Short North. The beer and cocktails were great. The food was tasty,too. Overall, a great dining experience.

Casual atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff from arrival to departure. Food came out quickly and all at the same time. Fried Chicken top notch. Fried BLT also very good. Kale salad was fresh and generously sized. All the sides we tried were very good to great. And very reasonably priced. Just a very good casual southern food experience. Next time if cooler we'll try the patio.

Definitely a hidden gem! I found this restaurant through the inkind app. I've never been until tonight and I must say it tastes like grandma with the fat arms is back in the kitchen. Let that tell you what you needed to know about the flavors 🤠

Based on what I've read, I'm going to be in the minority here but I feel strongly that this review needs to be posted. This is my first trip to The Eagle and I went based on a friend's recommendation. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. There were very few people in the dining area on an early Sunday afternoon, while the surrounding establishments were packed - that should have been a warning sign. I ordered the Fried Chicken BLT which is described as having a fried chicken breast - it's not. It's a fried chicken cutlet, and it was soggy, thin and overcooked. No crispiness at all. The lettuce greens were wilted, and the tomato was mush. For $14 with no sides, it's an overpriced sandwich disaster. My friend ordered some fried chicken and the mac and cheese. Three pieces of chicken came out - the chicken legs were dark brown and soggy. The thigh was lighter but also soggy. I'm not sure if there's an oil problem in the kitchen (e.g. temperature and/or age) but we should have sent it back. The mac and cheese was soupy and bland. The service was great, but no server should be asked to bring out substandard fare. No need to ever revisit this establishment, and I encourage diners to explore other options.

My first time: I ordered to go macaroni and cheese the sweet potatoes and the chicken sandwich. My to go order didn’t have utensils nor napkins. I didn’t realize until got home. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to not include the basics when dealing with messy food. While I’m at work I just had messy hands and washed them when I was done. I would t recommend!!!! I’m willing bet this is the one of the VERY FEW restaurants that require you to ask for condiments. MOST restaurants have the sense to know it’s needed. I have your honey sauce all over my hands. The sandwich was good the sweet potatoes was nasty and the Mac was ok. The blackberry lemonade is disgusting.
