The Mercury Diner Reviews
We came into town to see the Nutcracker and this diner was exactly what we were hoping it would be. Homemade strawberry jam and honey butter, plus house made English muffins and the crispiest of home fries were OUT OF THIS WORLD. Add exceptional service to the mix, and now we will be lifelong customers. Outstanding!!!
Today I had one of the worst service experiences in any restaurant at the Mercury Diner. I went with my wife and son, and we were told to wait while other parties of similar size who showed up after us were seated first. After about ten minutes we were seated. However, we were then completely ignored without even a greeting from the wait staff for over 20 minutes, while parties seated after us had already gotten beverages and placed their orders.

I had high hopes for Mercury Diner but was disappointed. The food presentation was careless—my pancake was served upside down, which was odd and unappealing. The burger was a letdown as well, with a soggy bun, an overload of cheese, and no seasoning whatsoever. To top it off, my fiancé received his coffee without any creamer. The Mercury Diner offers delicious breakfast options like chicken and pancake, housemade biscuits, and pancakes. The atmosphere is inviting and delightful, enhanced by friendly staff and great music. Many customers have praised the quality of the food, especially the pancakes, which are described as the best ever and taste like yellow cake. The Classic Breakfast with a side of sausage gravy is highly recommended, and the egg and cheese sandwich with added bacon is considered one of the best breakfast sandwiches. Portions are generous, often enough to take leftovers home, and reheating them still maintains their flavor. Although some recent reviews mention inconsistent service, with wait staff sometimes slow to respond, the overall service remains attentive. The diner features unique, non-traditional utensils, like black eating utensils, which customers find a nice touch. The menu offers not your typical diner fare, with dishes like the classic breakfast with over easy egg and cheese, and a large, thick pancake that is light and flavorful, not cakey or dry. Customers have also enjoyed the space balls, which are highly praised as one of the best brunch items. The home fries are made from real potatoes, adding to the quality. While the place gets busy, many agree that the food is worth the wait. Overall, the food is rated 10/10, making the Mercury Diner a highly recommended spot for breakfast and lunch.
