It had been a while since we had been to the North Market. Stopped by your shop and picked up three different cookies, three cupcakes and a lemon bar.. we were blown away!! We live an hour outside the city, but our daughter goes to Capital and we will be making sure to swing by the market every visit for a treat. Our son is in love with the Biscoff cookie and cupcake and that lemon bar with its crust.. FANTASTIC!! The rumors are absolutely true: the vegan cupcakes at The Pastry Factory (North Market) are hands-down incredible.
I tried the Pumpkin Chai cupcake, and it blew me away. Every single element hit the mark:
The Cake & Frosting: Perfectly baked, light, and paired with rich, delicious frosting.
The Filling: The pumpkin center took it over the top—such an amazing surprise.

The Pastry Factory, located in the North Market, offers many gluten free and also vegan choices. All desserts are beautiful and tasty, and would recommend even if you don’t need GF. Specific menu items include the Biscoff cookie and cupcake, the lemon bar with its crust, and the Mango Mimosa cupcake, which was hands down the best cupcake ever. The vegan cupcake was good and not real sweet at all. Chef Allyson is talented and created delicious vegan and gluten-free cupcakes and cutting cake for a wedding. Everything looked gorgeous, tasted amazing, and was a total hit. The staff is wonderful, very nice, and able to answer questions about allergies. People should check this place out, whether vegan or not.
