beautiful spot for a nice dinner! the ambiance is refined without being snobby; clean, comfy interior with low lighting is perfect for an intimate dinner. service is so nice and recommended great drinks and dishes based on our preferences. i can't remember all we got but the focaccia was a crowd pleaser and my chicken entree was perfect. i would love to visit again!

Fabulous experience at Sycamore with impromptu seats at the bar. Started with a huge salad and the sticky carrots which had a bit of heat -- both were delicious and the salad was big enough to be an entree salad. Ravioli and Veggie Tagine were both fantastic. Complex seasoning and flavors and both vegetarian. Finished off with a strawberry rhubarb pie a la mode. Everything was excellent. And the service was outstanding.

I came here by myself for a night out treat and really enjoyed it! I sat at the bar and received full menu service. The bartender was amazing and made me feel at ease especially by myself. The atmosphere otherwise was quite loud and made it a but tough to really enjoy the experience, but honestly it was great otherwise. Regardless, the food was great. The short rib ragu was excellent. The noodles on top hid the short rib, which made it fun to mix it all together to get the full experience. And I finished off my meal with a slice of pecan pie, at the bartender's recommendation. I looked at the menu in advance to get an idea of price, and for a single night out it still ended up being a bit more than I had intended. I do still recommend the Sycamore but for more of a special night out and not so much a casual gathering.

Small restaurant in German Village. Make a reservation unless you like sitting at the bar.We got the Housemade Focaccia to start. It is awesome.Garden Pickle Salad to share. Pretty good. The dressing was very tart. Salads are a whole entree portion so share them or get them for dinner.Their suppers all looked good and made it hard to choose. For supper we got the Cuban and the Ravioli. Cuban was awesome and Ravioli was good too.We got the chocolate chip cookie with gelato for dessert. Of course delicious.Old Fashioned was great and my wife's mocktail she enjoyed but was very sweet so she could only do one.Ben was a great waiter with great recommendations and attentive service.

I don't know why it's been so long since we have dined at Sycamore. The meal was great. In the 4.5 star range. We all had chicken thighs with couscous. Yum. We started with their outstanding focaccia then roasted carrots. A sycamore salad before the mains. Try the sycamore Negroni! I enjoy the size and atmosphere of the restaurant. We need to make an effort to put it into regular rotation.
The host left a terrible feeling , we are regulars, and we appreciate the servers and food, but when we came twice with reservations and there were tables openings , we were only offered bistro high tops, despite the other two servers and barista wondering why we didn’t get the just opened table. The host was firm and rude. It’s nice we live in city with many options and restaurants without having to deal with “personalities”

This place is so cute and the food was fantastic! We got a last minute reservation for 9 pm Valentines day. The atmosphere is great. The drinks are unique and tasty. I would 100% recommend the Short Rib Ragu, it was insanely good. Will definitely be back!

First time visit and an outstanding experience! Arrived 15-20 minutes early and were seated right away. Matt was our server - friendly, attentive, and helpful with a menu suggestion for my wife. Quaint, romantic, and cozy ambiance - not too big, not too small. Ordered Lamb Sugo and Ruby Red Trout with glasses of Barbera D'Alba and Albarino - both dishes were beautifully prepared and delicious! I've been thinking for the past couple of days about how much we enjoyed this meal and wanted to take the time to leave a detailed review for others who might be searching for just this kind of place - wonderful evening!

The Sycamore is an adorable and inviting brunch spot that's perfect if you find yourself in the area. While snagging a table can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, there are moments of availability.In terms of the food, it was enjoyable, though I must admit I wasn't entirely blown away. The quality appeared to be quite good, but I did think a lot of the dishes were a bit too salty for my liking. Additionally, when it came to the burger, the portion size left a little something to be desired. Nonetheless, The Sycamore's charm and coziness make it a charming option for a leisurely brunch outing.
