Tommy’s continues to make excellent pizza, subs, and cheeseballs. But once again they’ve proven they do NOT give a hoot about customer service. Last night we received the notification that our order was ready. When I arrived I was told they were running a little behind. Fine, that stuff happens- this was about 6pm. But then I heard one staffer whisper to the person helping me that it would be another 15-20min. What?? Not much I can do, I’ll wait.
Well as many as 11 people were waiting on their orders and every single one came and went by the time 6:35 came around. When I asked for a status, they said they were just waiting on one pizza. Five minutes later, I noticed all 3 pies on the rack and done but my order wasnt called yet. After a couple minutes, out of the oven comes my sub and goes to the back for toppings. Finally, by 6:47 my order was ready after I had to post up at the register to get someone to have any urgency. Clearly my pizzas weren’t even put in the oven till 15min AFTER I arrived, and clearly they sent out single pizza orders well before mine.
As good as the food, the lack of focus on service, or even common courtesy, precludes me from going again or recommending to anyone else. I could get upset but I feel that they wouldn’t care anyway.

Been coming back since our OSU days in the early 90's, even though we live out of town. The thin, layered cracker crust is legendary, the sauce is just right and the toppings are generous. Must be doing something right to stay in business over 70 years!

Family has been patrons since Tommys opened. Today we received a pizza that had an issue, and they took care of it, and we left happy. Keep on being a staple in Columbus Ohio !
We visited here a few weeks ago, and we loved it! The food was brought out quickly and the staff was incredibly nice and the food was incredible. I can't wait to return!

I'm a long time customer and have enjoyed Tommy's pizza for years. Literally from my childhood to now enjoying the food with children of my own. The food is great and always has been. Unfortunately, due to the rudeness of the staff interacting with customers, including the security guard (over several interactions in a row), I will be taking a break from ordering here.
Long story short. If you get Tommy's, order delivery, expect delays, and tip very well. Your delivery driver deserves it for having to deal with this atmosphere.

I called the place the phone order and was told to pick up my pizza in 25 minutes so I showed up 35 minutes after I placed the order thinking that was enough extra time. Got here paid for my food then was told oh by the way, it’s gonna be another 20 minutes that you’re gonna have to wait so I stood silently in the restaurant up against the pole minding my own business waiting for my pizza to get done only to be kicked out by the sheriff in the lobby because my food was taking too long it’s Ohio and it’s 35° outside but sure I’ll go sit in my car because you can’t bother to tell me what time is correct for me to pick up my pizza $55 that I won’t spend again because I will never come back here again and I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for over 25 years

Ordered online . Tracker says order was ready for pick up. It was not . Email stated order was going to be ready at a different time. Was not allowed to wait inside . Very stern Sheriff made us wait in our car . Order was promised at a certain time and it was late . The employees were rude and less than desirable. I get it - the holidays but proper customer service still applies . I love this pizza but … don’t expect another order from us .

We visited Tommy's because I saw an article last year that said Tommy's was the best Columbus Tavern style pizza. Holy smokes it was so good. The crust was delicious and so crunchy. There were even air bubbles in the bottom of crust that led to the perfect crunch. The sauce was excellent and the toppings were high quality. The pizzas were cooked perfectly and I couldn't get enough. I will also say that the homemade meatballs were excellent and the homemade Italian dressing was really great! The dining room was dirty and in disrepair but the pizza was so good that we didn't care. I definitely recommend Tommy's, anytime you are in Columbus.
