Waffle House in Columbus

“Stopped off at this location because I was jonesing for good breakfast. Instead I got a great breakfast. My eggs, bacon, toast and hash browns were cooked to perfection. My server was great and attentive even though it seemed like they were having some staffing issues. Highly recommend you all stop by here at this waffle House for great service and great food“

“This location reminds me of any other Waffle House as far as appearance but inside, it felt different. The staff was so friendly. My servers name was Diamond. She has a really bright future for customer service. I have never felt so welcomed and cared for in a restaurant as she made me feel today. The whole team was working together. The cook made my food perfectly. I think this is a great team here! I will definitely come back. In this area, you do not find a lot of good overall service. This experience will be with me forever. The best Waffle House location! The kindness and welcoming spirits made a huge difference in my day & my outlook on Waffle House.“

“I got a waffle with peanut butter chips and scrambled eggs-absolutely delicious and gone in under 10 minutes! The atmosphere was amazing and felt like an old fashioned diner, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and very kind overall, plus you get to watch your food being made! 5 stars!“

“I love Waffle House! Going to a Waffle House anywhere feels like going to the ones in my hometown. This one is just like the others. Misty kept my coffee flowing and didn't make fun of me for asking for 5 creamers for each cup. If Jeff is cooking, you can count on getting a perfectly prepared meal. I ordered the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Hashbrown Bowl. It was delicious! The beauty of eating at a Waffle House is the similarity to every other Waffle House. This location is highly recommended!“

“Understaffed, no supervision and a lack of proper training keep this potential hot spot way down. The singular cook actually cared but was not really trained and easily overwhelmed in spite of it being a slow night.

The solo waitress has similar issues and the place was needlessly cluttered from prior customers but could have been fixed in just a few minutes. Time she clearly had while we were there. In spite of this she eventually came around and made a decent effort.

I blame management based on what I observed. These two younger folks under good management and with solid, quality training could be really good at their jobs. They seem unguided and burned out. It would be nice if someone with the franchise read this and addressed it properly. With their potential, waffle house should try to keep them and develop them before they lose them.

“This is the best Waffle House I have ever been to. The team seemed genuinely happy to be there (multiple regulars carrying conversation with the staff, even the maintenance man that was there was nice) and the entire restaurant including restrooms was spotless. 10/10“

“Despite appearing as if they were maybe an employee short, the grill cooks were on their A-game. Our food was awesome.

Our waitress was a sweet young lady on the last few days of her pregnancy. Her service was very quick and friendly despite being as busy as she was. You'd think she was walking around with a backpack coffee dispenser, with as well as she kept everybody's cups warm on a Saturday morning.

Great location and staff, I'll be returning next time I come to Columbus.“

“If the greater Columbus area were to employ an official welcoming committee, I would recommend this specific Waffle House for the job. Spotlessly clean, excellent service, and delicious food; the team is a genuine pleasure to observe, friendly and efficient, attentive to every need. If you have read Bukowski's "Nirvana," you get the picture.“

“I work at a bar and I’m off at 3am and Waffle House is my go to. I don’t generally go to this location but I did today and I’m never going to another location. The woman i believe named courtnie was so nice she took my order. I’m not sure of the cooks name she was another nice lady. The food was so good! I had special requests (well done bacon over medium eggs cheese grits) and all were met perfectly. Usually when I get my grits the cook just puts the cheese on top and it’s hard to mix in but she put it in the middle and it wasn’t clumpy or runny. The food didn’t take long to be ready either. The girls are running the place wonderfully :)“

“We were in town to check out the university and stopped in for a quick breakfast. It was busy but they were able turn over a table for us within minutes of the people leaving. The waiter was friendly and her service was great. The selection is limited but well made. The cooks shirt said "rock star grill operator". I would agree“
