Food was ok, but they can't be bothered to follow directions (no tomatoes, no sour cream, no onions - all allergy). No meat in the meat enchiladas. Extremely greasy. Won't be ordering again.

I really like the food. We've had several items delivered, and we've not been disappointed. (We've only eaten inside once, and the staff was very nice, it was clean, with nice decor.) I particularly love their gorditas. The corn shell is thin, crispy, and not too greasy. We're also fans of the burritos, sopas, beans, and rice. I also recommend the roasted jalepenoes. The only thing I did not enjoy as much were the tacos al pastor, they were a bit greasy for me. Overall, great Mexican food for a good price.

Back when this resraurant was called Zacatecas, I wrote a very positive review, and I do still like the place. After changing ownership, it's now called El Jalisciense, meaning for the benefit of fellow Gringos, someone from Jalisco state, which is I guess supposed to be cooler than Zacatecas, a much poorer state. I and my co-workers did like it a little better before, when it was still called simply Zacatecas, which came off as a more relaxed family place under the earlier ownership of a really nice and good guy named Jaime, and had a more old timey decor revolving around Pancho Villa. The new owner isn't as down to earth, the Norteño music is a little too loud most times, and the place is a little too polished for my taste compared to before, but the food is just about as good. Most customers are still Latinos, so I guess the experts still rate it highly. If you're lucky, Carla will be working when you visit, and she's such a charming sweetie that she makes the place feel like home. Also, if you have stuff to buy that you can only get at a genuine Mexican grocery/taqueria, there's a great one half a block away on the same street.

Hidden gem for sure. Clean, family atmosphere. Fast, friendly service. Generous portions, very fair prices. Every dish I've tried has been delicious. Basics (refried beans, salsa, sauces) appear to be from-scratch and are on-point. Vegetables are fresh. Karaoke/live music some days. Love everything about this place!

The food was top notch, and the service was incredibly charming. I'm not a Mexican food expert or anything but everything seemed very authentic and it all tasted amazing. The interior decorating is super colorful and has a generally fun ambiance. I would definitely recommend it and will assuredly go again.

They start you off with salsa and chips....fresh delicious salsa not to hot and a heap of fresh made chips. ...ordered a standard burrito ....it was huge and delicious....cant wait to try other things....also had a very pleasant atmosphere
