Had a great time. Live music was good. The bar isn't huge, which gives it a fun cozy vibe. Bouncer was friendly and made all of us feel secure. Went for their Halloween party, and had a load of fun. Prices are VEEERY good. A very fun bar that will not break the bank, and will make you wanting to go back!
My boyfriend and I found Solar Saloon just over a year ago. Solar Saloon is upstairs from the gelato place of Williams and Sandusky. Upon entering it was clearly a locals bar. We were quickly greeted by Jeannine, the bartender, and promptly received our drinks. We love people watching and listening to multiple conversations. Many of the locals were quite friendly. It's a dive, so keep that in mind. It's usually very college-ey as well. The space is small and narrow but it's a good spot for a late night drink! Also cool that they give you the cups you can walk around with outside.
I've never had bad service, it can just take a minute when they're busy. But... overall the bartenders usually get to me pretty quick.
