“I almost don’t want to review since I consider this place a hidden gem and kinda wanna keep it quiet 🤫. Ha. But I think the word is out. Pretty good crowd last night. Great live music! (Irish Road…don’t let the name fool you. Not Irish music. Great 2 person cover band with an occasional original thrown in 👍🏻). Great drinks (beer and cocktails). And the most amazing view of sunset/downtown with an occasional plane coming in for a landing. So cool. It is our favorite place on a nice night.“

“My girlfriend and I come here all the time. We love all the unique draft options to choose from, and we’ve always had the kindest and sincerest bartenders. We also love the pretzel knots and it’s our go to every time if we’re feeling a snack!! Absolutely recommend Nostalgia for the energy and wonderful food and drinks.“

“Fantastic spot with old pub atmosphere but cleaner. Beers were out of this world, all classic German, Czech and Belgiam styles executed with finesse and skill. Our bartender Rory was a Dame and a Scholar. Finger food like nuts, pretzles and even pizzas available (Not a full kitchen) l. Just enough to get that 3rd LUKR poured lager from the hand of a specialist. I'll definitely come back again.“

“Mad Moon is a rare gem in what can be a sea of mediocre cider joints. Amazingly friendly staff, excellent ciders, and an awesome Cuban food truck out front all work in concert to make Mad Moon a hit. Do yourself a favor and stop by. You will not regret it!!“

“Great beer. Note there is a very high 5% service charge for a credit card. While this is noted at the bottom of the FOOD menu, you may not know this if only ordering beer. Staff does not warn you, which is very underhanded. Shame on you.“

“Paid $80 for an uber eats order of wings and fish and chips. Ordered extra blue cheese and extra tarter sauce. Both things central to our meal...didn't get any sauce. This is extremely annoying and frankly I'm absolutely sick and tired of basic things like this getting missed on orders. The meal is literally ruined over something so minor...do better.

Edit. While I'm keeping the above message intact, the original "service" 1 star review really was an angry culmination of repeated order delivery errors from a multitude of resturants, not just Barelys. In fact, we still ate our meal the next day (with newly acquired sauces) and I have to admit the food was awesome. Additionally, we received a very friendly and prompt response from Jason the GM who graciously accepted the feedback and pledged to spread my frustration, so it's only right to update the service to 5. Mistakes happen, and yes I was angry, but their immediate and professional response deserves a rescore. We will be giving Barleys another go and I'm confident my future review with be 5 stars across the board, from the start.“

“I really enjoy how they have so many local draft options and the burgers are my go-to. Service is always amazing, the two I have worked with most are Maria and Chayni, and they are always wonderful. Everyone else I have worked with is amazing as well. I think it could benefit from having the lights dimmed or turned off for a better vibe in some areas“

“Came here once for a party and didn’t realize how close it was to home! I like to go out alone here and there and the environment at Yellow Springs never fails to make me feel safe. Arthur and Sam are great and always seem make sure to check in on me whenever they’re on shift as I’m a woman sitting alone most nights I’m there, and Carly is incredibly friendly and helpful as well :) It always looks like the crew is having a good time with each other and with the customers, even on nights a rowdy group comes in. Very glad for this neighborhood spot and will continue to come in as long as it’s here!!“

“Excellent service! Jake was tending the bar and he was super nice. Food was great! The pimento cauliflower dip is amazing as was the double pepperoni pizza. I had Shred Lord and Kadö - both were great. Highly recommend!“

“We had our rehearsal dinner at BrewDog in New Albany, and overall it was a great experience. The food and service on the day of the event were both excellent, and everything went smoothly for our group, which made for a really fun and relaxed evening before the wedding.

Mara was very helpful during the booking and planning process and was great to work with. However, communication was sometimes a bit slow, and responses could take a couple of weeks, with no automatic out-of-office reply when she was unavailable, which made planning a little harder at times.

Despite that, the actual event itself went very well, and the staff delivered great service and food that our guests really enjoyed. We were happy with how the rehearsal dinner turned out and appreciated being able to celebrate with our friends and family in such a fun setting.“
