“? Hidden Gem Alert ? Best gyro in town! Hospitality was on point from the time we walked in, to our food being ordered & served, to the good bye out the door! They offer indoor and outdoor seating! We tried the classic gyros the meat was tender the lettuce was crisp along with the tomatoes and red onions, the banana peppers were so fresh. Perfectly melded together with fresh feta & the perfectly blended house made gyro sauce! Very delicious! Their seasoned fries were good with gyro sauce as well! And you can't forget to try a piece of bakalava! Looking forward to my next visit to try the shawarma!! A must try if you have not yet tried!“

“Pretty good! First time trying this and really enjoyed it for lunch. Price was very fair for the quality and amount of food. I got the medium gyro, and it was A LOT. I'll get the small next time. “The food here is fantastic! It's homemade and served quickly. We've tried appetizers, entrees, and desserts, and everything is delicious. While my favorite is the grape leaves, you can't go wrong with a gyro or a piece of baklava. This family-owned restaurant is definitely a favorite spot!“

I equated eating here to if the only taco you had ever had was from Taco Bell and the only Burger was from McDonald’s. “EXCELLENT lamb gyro AND side dishes! I'm 100% hooked and will gladly spend my money here! One of the two brothers who own/run their food stall was great to chat with while the other brother was dominating the stove. By the way, hot off the grill was no joke - my food was delicious and very flavorful because it was cooked to order. For a time, back when they opened, this stall use to serve tagine plates on the weekend (only), but that has since been removed - sad face. I was delighted that ToG's side dishes we tried were just as much stars of the show as their lamb gyros! Their Brussels side was very lightly seasoned, the sprouts were sauteed with a flavorful oil, and I've never seen sprouts sauteed with sliced green grapes! I patently hate sprout dishes that tout all kinds of toppings that brutally mask the flavor of the healthy veggie tag; this side dish is officially the best sprouts dish I've ever had. I got the side dish to share with my mother, but ended up getting a serving of my own, since I was hooked. Same high marks for their Zaalouk side, too. The flavors were incredible: not too much of anything, just plain flavorful! The accompanying pita triangles were an afterthought, as that eggplant/stewed tomatoes/garlic/cilatro getup deserved its own spotlight. On my gyro, I forgot to ask for lite sauce, but it wasn't bad at all; I could easily taste the components wrapped in the fresh, soft pita bread. The meat was so good, and plenty shavings to fill the pita, too. I easily got my money's worth of shaved protein. Since opening The East Market has been a mixed bag of food stall offerings, so I'm really glad I finally tried ToG. I'm sure I'll be back by next time I'm in the area. Shoot, I'd go out of my way for those two side dishes any day.“

“The food is very delicious and came out with lightning speed quickness. I got the calamari as an appetizer and it’s probably one the best I’ve ever had. I ordered the Gyro and the Greek fries and it didn’t disappoint. The Greek fries were good and maybe the toppings were a little bit too much after being full off of gyro and calamari.“

Abby, Aleks, and Vincent were just as nice as they could be, and they each gave us their own recommendations on what we should try.My friend and I each got a bowl. Mine was rice, lentils, all the veggies, falafel, and house dressing. Hers was the salad mix and rice, chicken, veggies, and house dressing. We each got one order of pita, but honestly we could have shared just one serving instead of getting two. “Best gyro in town. I've been coming here for over 15 years. I won't go anywhere else for a gyro. They are friendly even under the busiest of times. They make you feel like family. Food is always made to perfection. In all these years never got a wrong order. I always get a chicken gyro with black olives added and they manage to make it feel like the first time every time. I usually get the gyro which is excellent, but this time I got the grouper gyro which was surprisingly also excellent! Keep in mind this is not a restaurant with servers, you walk up and order and they bring the food out to you. “Really cool place, it's right in the middle of the city so there is no parking. The place has a cool vibe, and a bar right when you walk in. Some of the aesthetic was kind of cheesy though, with the pillars and arches everywhere but there was a giant mural on one wall that was cool. The food was a little pricey, but boy was it delicious. We didn't try any of the expensive dinners, but we ordered some salad and the Greek spread combo that comes with four different spreads of your choice. The food is always fresh. Sad day when they shut down the campus location and went downtown only. I could walk three blocks when they had the campus location. However, lunch around noon-1230 gets PACKED now. But their employees work very fast, but attentively.I always get a make your own bowl. Loaded with power greens and nearly every veggie item they have. Always get the chicken kabob as my protein option. Their hummus and sauces/dressings are to die for.Prices are oddly low. “Is it the best Greek I've ever had? No, but they have a drive thru and serve you at fast food speeds. I review the quality of food based on the context of the restaurant/price point. As a fast food restaurant, Gyro City is really good. I often will stop in for a side of their tzatziki sauce to use at home when I make gyros. Their Greek fries are great and service has been overall good. When I first got my dog a couple of years ago, she went ballistic when I stopped in the drive thru. Broke out of her harness and was in my lap. The manager without being asked handed me a container with some chicken. My dog was angel the whole way home. I will say their baklava was a miss for me, but I'm picky about baklava.“
