“It's a tavern, but a really nice tavern. The waitress was fantastic. She handled our group of 11 quite well. I loved the rueben platter. The heat was warm (it was January). The place is relatively new and clean. Wife and I definitely will be back!!“
“This little place is a gem in a small town. Locally owned and operated by long time New Madison residents. Today at lunch it was quite, and order was taken quickly. I ordered the marinated tenderloin sandwich at the recommendation of another nearby customer and the staff (owner). It didn't disappoint and for $13 total lunch bill (with a side/drink), it was a super value. In and out in less than 30 min, it's a great lunch spot.“
“This was our first time in here; stopped just because of the post on Facebook the Darke County tourism page made. Wasn't a super friendly atmosphere, but being a small town country family didn't bother us too much. My kiddos shared a dinner meal as there wasn't a kids menu. Robot went to the wrong table so had to get up to get our chips and salad; again not too big of a deal. The man working had a cold, which wouldn't be a big deal if he hadn't blown his nose and then proceed to give us our silverware. Overall food was hot, but nothing to brag about. 3 meals and 4 drinks came to $51 and seemed a little much in my opinion for quality. We personally won't put it on our rotating list of places to dine at, but glad we gave it a try.“
“Today was my first time at Sloopy's to hear live music by Steve Lewis on the patio. Atmosphere was great! I ordered chicken chunks with my choice of 3 sauce that I got on the side. I was not disappointed in the flavor of the sauces and was extremely surprised at the pretty good size of the chicken chunks. The breading was good and tender all white meat. Highly recommend. I'm more picky when it comes to cheese sticks so, even though they were filling, they weren't my personal favorite. Also would like to mention that it was very reasonably priced.The waitress was very nice and I noticed that she tried her best to care for all the customers as best she could for as busy as it was both inside and outside the establishment.The live entertainment was just the icing on the cake to a beautiful outdoor evening. Dinner and live music on the patio on a beautiful night, what more could you ask for? Definitely will be back to try more food that I have heard so much about from others.“
