“I met the Manager and let him know it was my first time there. He was very pleasant and recommended their hummus (a specialty) and highly recommended some of their specialty dishes. The food was excellent. If you’ve never been, you should check it out! Great prices, awesome place, excellent food and wonderful service. This was at the Powell location.“

“The food here is amazing, delicious, and healthy. The service is excellent. They really take the time to make you feel at ease and they give you the friendliest service. One particular staff member, a tall gentleman was very kind and asked how I liked the food, took the time to tell me my options when I was ordering, and offered to put my tray away when I was done eating. Now that’s service! Service in most places have not been satisfactory lately as the food service industry slowly picks back up from a type of recession. But the customer care and service here is above and beyond.“

The kubbeh was the best I've had; not dry, great flavor. The meats were well seasoned and grilled to perfection! The fruit tray looked beautiful! Great assortment of fruit. We were so impressed with the quality of the food, the presentation, and the service. They were so friendly, helped cut the cake, packed all the leftovers, and helped with cleanup. Competitive pricing, worth every penny! Some of the guests even asked for business cards. We'll definitely be using Eastern Gate Catering again.“

“The Kabob house has been a welcome respite for my lunches in my work area.The owners provide a great falafel plate, with hummus and tabouli, topped with a pickle, for us that are vegetarian inclined ?They are welcoming and kind, and they have no problem adding additional dishes to your plate, such as the vegetarian Kabob or the cauliflower, cooked just right.If you're in the vicinity of the arcade on fifth, I would encourage you to stop by and give them a shot, you won't be disappointed.“

“Friends brought tubs of beet as well as turmeric hummus to a party. They had such a great texture and flavor, I could not stop eating it, and the colors were so bright and vibrant. I said we needed to go get some of our own. So the next day we went to the market and found Jacob’s and got two different types and they were delicious as well. Shout out to the dill pickle hummus. It’s going on my most favorite eats list.“

“Today was my first time here and I came with friends and my 5 year old son. We had the pleasure of being waited on by Sebastian! He was extremely patient with my son and went the extra mile with his food recommendations and making it kid-friendly. He also noticed which sauces I seemed to like the most and brought one that did not originally come with my meal. Lamb Adana tasted delicious with its seasonings.
Dolma/Stuffed grape leaves were also good, a bit oily for my preference.
Price point is definitely a bit of a concern.
