Joomak | Korean Reviews
The food was delicious and good. One person covered the entire hall, making it feel busy. Water is self-serve. I don't understand why they charge tips when they each take their own food at the restaurant. I would appreciate it if the owner could take a look and think about it.
Very authentic Korean restaurant. If you’re expecting the kind of jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) you’d get in Korea, you might be a little disappointed, but the other dishes are excellent. I especially loved the jeyuk (spicy pork) — the sauce is thick, rich, and packed with flavor. They also serve soju and makgeolli, which is a big plus, and the pajeon (Korean savory pancake) is quite good as well. Overall, a great spot for authentic Korean food and drinks.

In the area for family, driving from Maryland and found Joomak on GPS. Excellent option. Lunch has a limited choice, but we only needed two meals and both were excellent. Wish we could come back for dinner where the choices looked very intriguing. We highly recommend.

Joomak | Korean is a small, friendly restaurant that offers authentic Korean dishes in a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant has a simple setup with a dozen or so tables and a few servers per shift, ensuring quick service and good portions at reasonable prices. The food is consistently delicious, with standout dishes like jeyuk (spicy pork), kimchi fried rice, and dumplings, all praised for their rich flavors and quality. While the spicy seafood noodle soup (jjamppong) may not meet expectations for those seeking Korean-style spice, other dishes are highly recommended. The restaurant also serves traditional drinks such as soju and makgeolli, adding to the authentic experience. Customers appreciate the friendly staff and the owner’s welcoming attitude, often sharing special moments like birthday celebrations. Water is self-serve, and service is efficient, making it a great spot for lunch or a quick dinner. Although the lunch menu has limited choices, the quality and flavor of the meals make it a highly recommended place, especially for those looking for authentic Korean cuisine in the area.
