Today was my first time ever getting some food from this place and I tell you they have five stars rating for a reason. The pull pork sandwich, the brisket sandwich, and the smoked mac & cheese were all perfect. Everything tasted fresh and the staff was friendly. I will be coming back to try the rest of the menu 100% recommended.
Definitely the best brisket I have had in Ohio! When cooked right, the marbled fat in an excellent brisket has just started breaking down, but not poured out. Perfectly moist and tender! With just enough extra fatty pieces to fry some eggs for breakfast the next morning! I will definitely be back.
Joe’s Barbeque in Kent, Ohio, is hands down the best spot for brisket I’ve ever found in the state. The brisket is slow-cooked to perfection—tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of bark and juicy fat. Every bite is proof that Joe’s knows exactly what they’re doing when it comes to real-deal barbecue.
