“Best ice cream I have ever had. Staff were efficient and friendly. They made you feel welcomed. The one young lady talked to us about making the ice cream & about our vacation. We found this gem after visiting the Amish stores. Plenty of flavors to choose from, it seemed to be the place to go for ice cream if you live near by. I would definitely recommend going to eat some yummy ice cream from there if you’re in the area.”

“The team from Old Carolina Barbecue Company were at our venue again last night and as usual provided stellar service. This was the second time this summer. In June catering was provided by Joseph, Gavin, Chase and Abby, and last night we had Tanner, Shannon, Chase and Abby. Both times they were timely, efficient and professional, and also added extra services like moving things around to serve appetizers outside, cutting and serving multiple cakes and leaving the kitchen spotless! All these things from a venue's perspective are so important. From the guests' perspective, of course, is the question "was the food good?" Yes it was! So good! They received many compliments. Great job guys! Thanks again!”

“My wife and I found this place along our trip through Ohio. It was a nice little ice cream shop. We expected the ice cream to be homemade because of the name. It was Perry's ice cream, which is still good. It just wasn't what we expected. They had a few hot food items on the menus also, such as loaded nachos, pulled pork sandwich, etc. The petting zoo was cute. You are able to buy food for the animals if you want to feed them. They had great outdoor seating as well.”

“I have passed this place several times while passing through Smithville. I finally had a minute to stop. Unironically, that minute was after I dropped off the young man who has been living with us at the career center for his next step to becoming an independent adult. I have been feeling so frustrated lately like every step we take has a huge road block. I parked, walked in, and was immediately met with the chorus of How Great Is Our God. In that moment, I knew that despite any frustrations, God’s got this all handled. I know, seems a bit crazy for a simple little coffee shop, but God is working here!”

“Set in a town that has two amazing companies Smuckers and Smiths Dairy. The remodeling of alot of the older buildings is looking amazing. This coffee shop has a comfortable and open feeling to it. I got a Peru coffee with a French press. It was absolutely perfect. The giant live edge table in the center of the room was perfect center piece. I highly suggest going here. The girl who helped me was simply the nicest and most helpful. You really must take the time and stop here. Their roast on my coffee was spot on. If you like in this town you need to go here often. If your driving through make an effort to go here. Just go it is worth the time.”

“The Beacon Cafe is a perfect Coffee Shop that has stunning food. This historic building has amazing character with incredible amounts of comfy seating inside and out. This is a religious oriented Coffee Shop so respect that. They are the nicest folks on the planet. No matter what distance they are from you go. Do not think about it just go. The quiche I had with fresh spinach and roasted walnuts and poppyseed dressing all of it was so great. The espresso was on point and earl Grey. Amazingly comfy seats. Look at photos and you will see what I mean. You need to go here.”

“Tried out the Salt Creek Cafe in Fredericksburg for lunch.. Their Tomato Basil Soup was awesome. My Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap and my wife’s BLT on ciabbatta bread were amazing and we ended up taking half of them home. Great choice for lunch!”
