Buckeye Beer Engine is a restaurant known for its great food and extensive drink selection. The menu features a variety of options, including a 1/2# BLT, schnitzel on marble rye with cheese, sauerkraut, and stone ground mustard, and a new cheesesteak with an Amoroso roll and Cooper sharp white American cheese. The schnitzel remains a customer favorite, prepared perfectly with lightly breaded, falling-apart meat. Customers have enjoyed the burgers, including the bourbon bacon cheeseburger, and noted that the restaurant has great beer options. Buckeye Beer Engine offers a wide range of beers from around the world, with 30 taps of diverse options and multiple pages of selections. There is also a good selection of bourbons and spirits. The atmosphere is described as having a laid-back bar scene with a 1950's Chicago rib joint feel, making it family-friendly. The restaurant has lots of TVs for game time and a small inside area with an outdoor patio. Staff are attentive to allergen concerns, and many customers appreciate the service provided, especially mentioning a great waiter. One improvement suggested is the addition of slow-smoked baby back ribs to the menu. Recently, they celebrated the summer solstice with a shrimp boil, which was well-received and offered at a great price. Customers have praised specials like the Kentucky Hot Brown, which features thick cut smoked turkey, grilled tomato, Texas toast, and a perfect sauce. Overall, Buckeye Beer Engine continues to be a go-to place for a comforting meal and a great tap list.
