We were so excited to try Ice Cream Joy as it’s the local shop that’s just down the street. When we came in, we got a variety of flavors - including a gluten-free and dairy-free option.The blackberry basil had a chalky texture, VERY heavy on the basil and the only blackberry experience was seeds. The dairy-free ice cream had little taste and another odd texture.Well that’s just cause you got odd flavors and ice cream varieties, right? Wrong. The “normal” ice cream was bad, too. My brother and I both got standard flavors and they both disappointed as well.Unfortunately, all four of us ranged from not impressed to downright disappointed. I hate to leave such a negative review but it reflects our experience.I highly recommend any Mitchell’s location for great ice cream or save your money and just go to Dairy Queen.

The vegan strawberry milkshake with vegan whip cream...tbh the result is an immediate addiction. I LITERALLY was just telling my friend that I should have ordered two. (get it TWO) I'm so happy I found this place ... I'm also sad. To know that something this perfect is down the street ...right there... If you need me I'll be struggling not burning myself out on this drink. (Yeah I go on food benders...) I was getting distracted while writing this...I drank it all before I got a pic. It's pretty.

We made an unexpected visit here and I’m glad we did. Great ice cream and customer service. My almost 2 year old wanted his own cone to be just like big brother and they made him his own special mini size. A small gesture that was much appreciated! We will plan to return ?

This place is tiny with a lot of energy. The shop is emptied out but you can grab-and-go or if you're lucky, you can take a seat on the one bench outside. The service was quick and friendly. The menu had a nice selection with various sizes and cones to choose from. I would recommend!

Every ice cream place these days seems to be adding non dairy choices. In here there's already many. The menu has a lot that all sound good and they let you have samples. It's about $5 for a scoop in a cup. Prices are good for the quality. A few non dairy flavors include the chocolate orange and the matcha lemongrass. Both are excellent and are creamy and smooth. A lot more flavors to choose from. They all sounded good but they have to wait for the next time. It has changing flavors available. Look at the menu online. The place is surprisingly not that busy usually.

Delicious! Our great nephew wIth milk allergies was so excited to get vegan cookies and cream. My husband loved the strawberry coconut shake, and I thoroughly enjoyed the mocha chip. With multiple allergies and eating styles in our family, this place has been a huge hit! We keep a few pints in the freezer at all times. Gluten, nut, milk, soy allergies.....multiple options for everyone! The flavors of the week have been fun too - this week is lemon poppyseed which reminds me of a friends cake! Awesome.
