Great place for celiacs and vegans! Lovedddd the breakfast sandwich. It was to die for!
We LOVE LOVE propaganda! One of the best places in Lakewood. Everyone there is so nice and offers great service and food/coffee. We go at least once or twice a week and love it! Great for takeout or to stay in. Thankful it’s all vegan and gluten free!
Eccentric and herbal lifestyle written all over the walls. Very delicious and thoughtful foods. Great for my business meeting I had, stayed well after my second drink.
I love this cozy coffee shop! Coffee, Pastries, Food is always top tier when I get a chance to visit Propaganda Coffee!! The staff is always super friendly and the drinks are consistent that’s important!! This is a vegan gluten free coffee shop and as someone who is none of those things I love this place!!!!
It’s gone down lately every time I’ve came in there that last few months the food the service the vipe is gone
(I’m not vegan.) This is one of the best all around coffee shops I have been to of any kind. For drinks we had the Riverside (top 5 fave specialty coffee drinks I have ever had) and the pina colada matcha. The pinnacle colada matcha was so unique and refreshing. Delicious. Also had a slice of cherry almond coffee cake and potato latke pancakes. Both amazing. The latke pancakes my 11 month old loved too. This will definitely be on the list of must-go places when we’re visiting Cleveland.
Imagine. You come into a coffee shop in a great mood. The associate behind the counter is stone faced, yelling out orders when ready, not a smile to be found. You just walked in, with a smile on your face, yet the barista is grumpy and annoyed that you needed a split second to decide on the food item. She rudely says in a huff “I’ll just start the drinks then”.
You tell her the food item you want. She says, “yeah, we’re out of that”. Not nicely, or apologetically, but like you’re idiot for even suggesting it as an item. So, it takes you a second to pick a second option and she sighs and glares. As soon as you pick a second option, she says (rudely, with a glare in her eye), “just so you know, it’s going to take a while. It’s just us back here (pointing to her associate). Now keep in mind, it was a Thursday at 11am, with no one in line behind us. Even if that was true, would it kill her to just be nice about it? Apparently. So I said, “that’s okay. Is it going to be 20 min? 45 min?” Just to get an idea of if we should order.
“Whenever we get to it” she says, dripping with attitude. Let me remind you, there is no one behind us. Even if it was busy and it was going to be a while, she didn’t have to look at us with disgust and vitriol. It was clear she either hated her job, herself, or us…and I’m not sure what would be worse.
I opted to skip it because….it was clear she didn’t want us to order anything. She seems like someone who would mess with your food. As my husband began to pay at the terminal, she was staring at me with what I can only describe as a threatening glare. I’m not exaggerating when I say I felt a pit of discomfort in my stomach. We paid, tipping 20% (hey, the other guy didn’t do anything) but i promptly asked my husband to leave because the vibe was so awful.
You’ll notice I generally only post positive reviews. The way we were treated here was so bizarre that I feel compelled to write this. If she is the owner, I am doubtful this place will be a continued success. If she’s an employee…I urge the owner to audit her behavior. She essentially lost the shop money due to her lack of kindness.
Had a great coffee & breakfast here this morning. I love to see a vegan & gluten free place. Staff was so kind. Coffee & all dishes we had were very delicious. Would definitely come back here.
I’ll start by saying I’m not vegan or any of the other diet restrictions this location caters to but my group found the food to be very tasty. I’m also not a big fan of plant based milks but I found the oat milk did not overpower the taste of the coffee which I was grateful for. Only downside is the price, for three people with coffee and breakfast we were over $50 total. That’s pretty pricy for a coffee shop.
Overall, a great shop to visit especially if you have diet restrictions just be wary of the price. I’d normally knock a star or two off for that but considering the extra cost for ingredients I decided against it.
Coffee was tasty, wish they had more eating things in the menu

The drinks are A+ every single time. Hot or cold, doesn’t matter. The real banger however, is the bakery. It’s probably the best vegan bakery I known of in Lakewood, or NE ohio. It’s always delicious. Whoever the baker and chef is/are, they truly know how to create desserts that are bliss. It takes real talent and thats why I continue to go here anytime I’m in Lakewood. That’s saying a lot as Lakewood has like 500 coffee shops, many of which are awesome. But this place always gets my vote for best. The aluminum cups being reusable are just one more perk. The atmosphere is also the pure old vintage feel of Lakewood. Baristas always nice. The drinks are also consistent regardless of who is making it. If Propaganda was everywhere like Starbucks, the world would be a better place.
Vegetarian options: 100% vegan. Have not tried the meals, only the desserts and pastries. It’s all delicious. Have yet to try anything I didn’t love. The donuts are out of this world. Expensive but worth every penny. I promise!
Parking: Usually park at meter in front or directly across the street. If not, the lot adjacent works. Never been a problem for me no matter the time of day or day of week.

Wonderful service and delicious food - I'm not vegan not do I need to follow a gluten free diet. I'd return for the service or the food alone - but to have both was amazing.
