My partner who is French and always in search of a good baguette was pleased with his purchase and I have to agree. Will be back to try out more breads and offerings. It was open on a Sunday morning and seemed very popular in the neighborhood.
Look at the ingredients label of any bread from a store, even from an in-store bakery. Fifteen? Twenty? Why? Because it's mass produced for longer shelf life. And it's not that good! Breadsmith doesn't do it that way and they offer a really incredible range of handmade breads that contain only the very basic ingredients necessary to make bread, just like my mom actually did back in the 60's (yes, I'm a Boomer, don't hate me kids). I learned about this bakery when I was walking down detroit and I will always go there for bread now. Their rustic Italian is the best rustic Italian I've ever had. I would recommend this bakery to everyone.
