I was a huge fan on the old Casa Lu Al and this was my first time trying the new location. My wife's food was very good. My food was almost luke warm. I felt that they did not microwave it long enough. It was actually better the next day when I microwaved it. Much more flavor from the melting cheese. We or I plan to try it again because of the Casa Lu Al name.

Had a wonderful lunch today, the food was excellent, the service great. We loved the atmosphere and I was impressed with how Clean it is. We are looking forward to returning for dinner.
I really had to reach for anything critical to say, that was in any way negative.
The food was really good. If the pasta wasn't freshly made, I don't know how they made it taste so fresh. I had the pasta with meatballs added. Everything had great flavor, with no added pretend (other places put way too much butter to hide any kind of downsides.. this food was just great flavor).
The only real critique i had was the new waiter, did some newbie stuff. But he corrected it with a great attitude, and returned to serve us on point.
The decorations were really elaborate. Something i didn't expect from a normal seeming downtown kind of place. They put a lot of effort into setting a really good atmosphere. Upstairs had a kind of mini bowling alley, with pinball machines too. Did I mention the food was awesome?? Because that's why I'll go again lol

We ate on the patio, which was very nice. The food however, left a lot to be desired. I had the chicken piccata and I know that my chicken was out of a bag of frozen breasts. It had a stringy grain to it and the small end was so thin and overcooked it was hard to cut. Sauce was just okay. My tomato basil soup was so thick I could have eaten it with a fork. Really disappointed. Have gift certificates still, so I guess we will try it again, just will not get either of those items. 😞

This is a repost of a review I originally left on Yelp. I wanted to share my feedback here for greater transparency.
I had a 2/27/25 @ 4:45 PM dinner reservation at Casual on a Friday night, the restaurant was not busy at all. Despite this, my experience was nothing short of discriminatory.
Blatant Discrimination in Service:
1. My whole family was seated at the very back of the restaurant, even though plenty of open tables were available.
2. when I politely requested to be moved, the hostess became visibly upset, expressing clear displeasure.
Ignored by Staff while others were served promptly.
3. We waited for 15 minutes at our table without being acknowledged No water, no greetings, no service-nothing.
4. Three different servers walked past us multiple times, completely ignoring us - no eye contact, no questions about drinks or orders.
5. Meanwhile, a new party of two arrived after us and was immediately seated, served water, and had their order taken within minutes.
Management Weak Response:
1. After waiting a total of 17 minutes with no service, my party decided to leave.
2. I spoke to the manager about the situation, explaining that several servers had deliberately ignored us while other customers were being attended to right away.
3. The manager only offered an apology and said he would speak to the server , but no real accountability was taken.
A clear Pattern of Racism.
I have dined at Casual before they changed locations and was never treated this way. However, after this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to people of color. The way we were ignored while other non-color patrons were served immediately is blatant racism.
If you are a person of color, take your business elsewhere, I certainly will.
