We are from out of state and wanted to try a local restaurant…. And to say we were impressed is an understatement. The service, food, and atmosphere was amazing. Had reservations for 8 on a Friday evening. Not crowded. Historical site. T-bone and Porterhouse steaks were the specials. Reasonably priced. I settled for the meatloaf. The best I have had in years!! 3 chunks stacked high over fresh mash potatoes and steamed string beans. Seasoned to perfection. Happy Hour Wine slushy garnished with gummy bears!! Delicious. The dining area was clean and well laid out. This may seem petty but the table tops are very slippery which makes cutting your steak is a challenge. There were 8 of us and they crammed us in to two smaller tables ment for 6.
Parking is pretty typical for a downtown restaurant. Plenty of it but not very convenient.
