“We stopped at Hocking Hills Inn & Coffee Emporium multiple times during our Hocking Hills hiking trip in 2024, and I still think about this little coffee shop. We did not stay at the inn, so this review is specifically for the coffee shop and food.

The coffee was genuinely excellent, enough that after the trip I continued ordering the espresso beans they use, Dirty Girl Coffee, for a couple of years. Dirty Girl Coffee is a small-batch Ohio roaster with a social mission focused on women’s economic progress in Appalachia. That made discovering their coffee here even more memorable for me.

We also came back for food more than once, which probably says enough on its own. After spending the day hiking, it was such a cute, comfortable place to stop for a good espresso drink and something to eat.

We’re not in southeastern Ohio very often, but Hocking Hills makes a great long-weekend getaway, and if we ever make it back, this will absolutely be on the list again. It’s been a couple of years and I still remember it fondly, which is probably one of the better compliments I can give a coffee shop.“

“We usually wait till after 4:00 P.M. Have been there many times. They start serving dinner after 4:00 P.M. Have tried many items on the menu. Great food and great service.“

“This is just the cutest kids bookstore and treasures that I’ve ever been in. The icecream was delicious and the decor so cute. Then what a nice surprise to go outside where there is putt putt and the most adorable goats and baby deer that you can buy cones for to feed. We didn’t have cones because we didn’t know you could do that and they all came running to the fence.“

“Our food was anazing. Got a cheese, a hot honey pep, and buffalo ranch pizza and chicken bites. We couldnt stop eating it was all so good. The chicken bites were whatever but what can you expect. The other popular place pizza crossing didnt look like our kind of pizza - thick with toppings piled mile high so we tried this place and no regrets. I’d definitely order again.

That being said, I saw most of the bad reviews recently were from doordash related problems which is pretty absurd. You’re expecting 5 star doordash service in HOCKING HILLS and then somehow blaming the restaurant? Get a grip.“

Place is very cute. We got pepperoni pizza and the cheese. Pepperoni was fantastic. Cheese was good but the pepperoni clinched it.
We did two flights (6 samples each). The wines were very underwhelming. Hints of potent vinegar in a few. We did enjoy two of them.
Server was polite and very attentive.

Major gripe is no wine descriptions on the menu. We had to google them one by one for a flavor profile. First time we have EVER encountered this.
Definitely need to adjust the menu to describe the wines you are trying to sell.“

“When my wife passed away. We went there on spec occasions and loved it. Good food the bison is the best like when I lived in Montana. The service was great and people went out of way to make u satisfied. And i love the prides r great for the food 🤠“
