Malabar Farm Restaurant

This restaurant is top notch and well worth the drive to get to. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. I had the penne past with shrimp in a mushroom parmesan cream sauce that was out of this world! All ingredients were perfectly cooked - shrimp, pasta, mushrooms, sauce to make a flavorful palette pleasing meal. Portions were large. My husband had the walleye, and he loved the sauce. Enjoyed dinner here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The crab cakes were delicious, loved the homemade remoulade sauce. French Onion soup was amazing, my filet was cooked perfectly and the crème brûlée was PERFECT which is very difficult to do. Service was decent not exactly a fine dining experience but it could be with a little more attention to detail.

Unfortunately for such a great land mark the food just didn't match up . My Dans chicken was okay , the mashed potatoes were dry and the broccoli was hard and cold.Our friends also had dry mashed potatoes with her chicken marsala. The lamb was okay unfortunately mint jelly was not an option on the menu . Flys buzzing around the inside windows were we sat . Great place though so we hope they step up on the food .
