“Visited after going to the Ohio State Reformatory. This is a great place to grab a bite and a beer at a low price. The owner was super fun and friendly, along with the other guy who worked there. Simple to the point menu with great prices and delicious little bar food. There's even an outdoor part with tables to get some fresh air or have a smoke. Live over an hour away but will definitely be back just to have fun at this bar again. If you're visiting Ohio Reformatory this is a great close spot especially on a Sunday when most other places are closed! Thanks again for a fun time!“
“Always a good time, hot food and cold beer.Kid-friendliness: Yes it's a restaurant bar, but you can take your kids there for breakfast and be comfortable with it.. plenty of families go to eat here. Your discretion after the sun goes down“
“I was met at the door and told that all the tables were reserved and didn't think she could get me a table for hours, I asked if I could sit at the bar, sure she said . I was overlooked by the waitress, I sat at the bar for about 5 minutes, the bartender was very attentive to the regulars, finally a gal came from the kitchen and waited on me. My friend arrived, we did order dinner, the food was really good, our waitress only came to clear dishes, we waited almost 10 minutes to get the bill. My friend was very patient.“
“Stopped in when we saw “breakfast” on their sign. We were heading towards another place. We never knew they had a restaurant there. They serve all meals on the menu at any time I think. ( breakfast- lunch- dinner)It was about 9 am. People were sitting at the bar having coffee and chatting.I think they were third shift people. A family was having breakfast at a low top table. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. We wanted to split our order and she suggested a fine breakfast of fried eggs, hash brown potatoes, bacon and biscuits with sausage gravy.Of course toast as well. All the food was good! And reasonably priced! We will go back.“
“Friends and myself had a Wednesday ritual of eating wings and shooting pool at another establishment. It was suggested that we give Nelly's a shot and so we did. I gotta say we were all impressed with the food and laidback atmosphere. Lindsey was on her game cooking and serving what is in our opinion the best bar sandwiches and fries in this area. Our new ritual is grub at Nelly's then off to play pool. If you're looking for big burgers, pretty smiles, and cold drinks then Nelly's Hideout is the place!“
“Cornerstone is a friendly brewpub in downtown Berea with a large, antiquish dining room and a sun-drenched outdoor patio in front for the warmer months. When I stopped by, there were about 8-10 house brews available. I enjoyed a flight that included the Seven IPA, Sandstone lager, Erie Blu fruit beer, and Pleasurable Demise NEIPA. All reasonably representative of their styles while also being light and crushable enough for a warm summer day. To help soak up the booze, there's an extensive food menu ranging from wraps to burgers to larger entrees. I've had my share of burgers with beers lately, so I switched things up with the grilled salmon, which didn't disappoint. It came with a lemon basil cream sauce and sides of wild rice and veggies and ended up feeling more healthful and nourishing than the usual bacon cheeseburger that I have with beers. Service was friendly and efficient, and I'm glad I finally stopped by after having bookmarked this here on Yelp a long time ago.“
