We had a family function and this was a half way point for us to eat. What a GREAT place!! The food was Amazing. Our server, Chade, was Fabulous!! The owners stopped by to congratulate our family member on their milestone. This place is an Awesome place to dine regardless of the size of your group. We'll be back. ❤️

After hearing about this restaurant for quite some time I was disappointed. My food was very mediocre. Our server was sweet but there were a few errors as well. I will try it again when in Mansfield but definitely not impressed.

Best fine dining in the Mansfield area hands down. It is expensive but for good reason. Their food is always phenomenal and their service is kind and attentive. Perfect for a special occasion. I can strongly recommend their charcuterie options, but make sure you leave room because their servings are generous.

Where do I even start in this review? Let’s start with how amazing Haley is. I am a single mom and I had a really rough week and I came in to the restaurant for a mommy daughter date before I get surgery and my baby was not very happy she was crying a lot. And I don’t know if it was written on my face that I was exhausted and stressed out but this kind soul paid for my meal annd drinks and made me cry (happy tears). I’ve never met someone so kind in my life. I will probably remember this forever so thank you so much for being so kind in a world that seems to have less kindness every day. You deserve a raise. You deserve the biggest blessings coming your way. I will definitely be back and I will definitely be asking for Haley.

My wife, myself and another friend decided to try out the new Sunday evening hrs & menu. My wife and I had the Lk. Erie Perch and our friend had the prime rib. A couple years ago I had the perch there and it was phenomenal ( as good as you get at the Lake) so why not try again! That was a mistake... the breading was hard and completely overwhelm the perch... very disappointing I have to ask the cook... why make changes when there is no need to? The French fries and salad were great and my friend's prime rib was very good. As always the service and ambience was top notch. I got a couple of draft beers ... very pricey for 12 oz's... should have been 16oz. All in all I really like Hudson -Essex.. the service is great and I like eating outside when I can. That said, the pricing really doesn't reflect the economic reality of Mansfield. I just wish Hudson- Essex was a little more competitive in the pricing. Will I come back and try menu items... yes. It's too nice of a place not try it again.

Good food, a bit overpriced in my opinion. I got the surf and turf which was absolutely smothered in pesto. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, and the owners visited our table. Overall pleasant experience.

Another great meal at Hudson & Essex. Mansfield Ohio is a bit far from Indianapolis Indiana, but we're surely going to come here every time IndyCar is racing at mid-Ohio. We made the mistake this year of having a mid-afternoon snack, so we didn't have room for the bread service 😥. It surely was good last year. Tried the crab cakes, and they were delicious. Way more crab than bread/binder. Beef ravioli was great too.
We came to Hudson and Essex for dinner. We had every intention of ordering entrées, but after we received our appetizer the *small* charcuterie board, we instantly knew that we weren't going to be able to finish that and entrées. So my husband and I split the small charcuterie board and each had a cocktail. It was lovely. Very good service!

The food and atmosphere was phenomenal. I've never had a better meal. I took my boyfriend here for his 30th birthday and it was the first time there for us both. We were so impressed with everything, from the cream cheese garlic bread to the salads to the surf and turf and the drinks. We ordered Pinot noir and the French toast espresso martini... Delish!!! Will definitely be back for more than one occasion.

Really cool place! The food, atmosphere and service was top notch. We were lucky enough to have the owner stop by and greet us with a kind conversation as well. The house made wine is worth the trip alone. Where class meets middle America for sure.
