Was disappointed... From the Facebook post I thought it was an Indian market, but appears to be a market run by Indians. The do have the restaurant open now but was closed Sunday when I visited.. also appears to have a butcher shop but was also closed when I visited... They did seem to have a large selection of Ramen noodles, pretty much everything else was generic corner store stuff..
Shawshank Redemption movie scenes were filmed here! Movie status market in bad part of town with very friendly cashier. The market is across the street from where my wife (dec) grew up, too! Very emotional visit
As a big part of where Shawshank Redemption was filmed, I was really hoping to find some memorabilia! The staff were amazing, and worthy themselves of a 5-star, but without any kind of Shawshank trinkets or gifts, I can't give it that high of a rating???
