Van Java Hibachi | Japanese • Ramen is a restaurant offering the absolute best Japanese food, described as hands down the favorite by many. The food is simply delicious, with incredible steak in butter street tacos and avocado rolls, and a deep fried crab roll dipped in sweet chili sauce that is to die for. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, with an adorable little restaurant featuring a relaxing and upbeat vibe. Service is amazing, with incredibly friendly and accommodating staff who go above and beyond. Portions are insane, making it a must-try for everyone and possibly the favorite place to eat in Marion county. However, the online menu needs descriptions, and items like the "crab skin wonton" have zero filling. There is no hibachi show, and the hibachi meal does not come with vegetables—each must be added individually, which seems high in price for no show and no veggies. Noodles were not a favorite, and no salad or soup is included. Service can be so so, and utensils or napkins are sometimes missing in to-go orders. The large drink selection is nice, and the virgin pina colada tasted great. The sweet chili sauce is great with most things.
