I visited the new Panera location for the first time today. I ordered the vanilla cream almond cold brew. As an avid coffee drinker, it was terrible. The coffee tasted watery with almond milk. I took my drink back to the counter & spoke with the general manager. She told me I couldn’t get a refund for a drink I didn’t like. Really?????? So she made me a latte with caramel. It tasted like a cold glass of milk. No coffee whatsoever. I will NEVER buy cold coffee drinks HERE again! ??Vegetarian options: Non dairy milk

I placed an online order that should’ve been ready at 5:28 PM. Went to go pick it up. It wasn’t ready until 5:48 PM. Nobody apologized said anything wouldn’t even look at me.

Went to get breakfast. Ordered three bagels, cold brew, and a parfait. They ended up being out of two of the bagels we asked for. They didn't follow directions on prep for the bagels we *did* get and then they couldn't fix the order because they didn't have any bagels left. They also forgot our parfait. We asked for the cold brew to be made with half and half and it was the color of 2% milk by the time they were done. There was hardly any coffee in it.

Stopped at this location to grab some begals for my wife. Get home, open the bag and couldn’t believe my eyes. What the heck are these, they look and taste more like a pretzel without the twist. I obviously made a mistake stopping here but it was on my way home. Never again.

Not sure why I keep trying. They are constantly out of everything. They have yet to have all the ingredients for anything I have ever ordered. Today I ordered a Bacon Avocado Melt. They were out of the bread. Ok, had to pick another bread. Then I received a melt with no melt and crumbs of bacon on burnt toast and no dressing.

The old Panera at the end of the Points East strip mall was quiet. I never had an issue there. Fresh bagels right in front of you. People eager and happy to take your order at the register. "Would you like them sliced?" Happiness and welcoming all around. I was surprised by the new place located in the parking lot. As I've had to wait a long time in the drive through line here before (for an order of one bagel), I decided to go inside to order. To my ignorance, I did not not know they had shifted to Kiosk ordering, even though there are two registers seemingly ready to ring people up. I noticed that the visible trays of bagels are gone, and I actually did not see any bagels listed on the overhead menu above the registers (again, suggesting at least a few people still prefer to order at the register). No one caught my confused but "ready to order" vibe ( I was the only one standing at the register), or asked if I needed help, or (from a good business model) took my order. Employees were milling about. I agree with other reviewers that the corporateness of this newer store is off-putting. By de-personalizing the experience, reducing customer contact, and by cutting labor costs, Panera management could discover they have lost business. After ten minutes, I left and decided to visit their chief competitor on the other side of town where I had an altogether different and more positive experience.

I am not from the area, but was visiting Mentor, OH to get surgery at the nearby Cleveland Clinic hospital. To thank the amazing team that assisted me during my stay, I ordered Panera Catering from this location to be delivered. In placing the order online, there was no "Add a Message" option (New Feature Request for Panera Headquarters!!), so I called the location to see if they could include a written message with the delivery. In the end, I this wasn't actually executed due to the Catering Management/Policies, however, the employees I spoke to were absolutely lovely and as helpful as could be. The Hospital Staff appreciated the meal, so I can only assume everything worked out great! Thank you!

I wrote a negative review last week, maybe not on this site, but felt compelled to share another dismal experience at the 7373 Mentor Ave location. I canceled my sip club, but still can use it until Dec. 25, so I decided to grab a hot tea at the drive-through. Once again, at least my 3rd or 4th same experience at the drive-through, I was told the wait was going to 20 minutes because the one car ahead of me was waiting for their food order. She advised me to. One in and order. I don’t know why they didn’t ask the car ahead to pull into one of the numbered parking spaces created just for this purpose, but I went in to order, as suggested. I thought I’d be brave and order from the kiosk bc there wasn’t anyone at the front counter. The kiosk wouldn’t allow me to ‘go back’ on my order when I made a mistake so I headed to the counter to order. Five customers later behind me and I still didn’t get greeted at the register. We all stood around looking confused bc there was literally one man in the reassurance eating and that one car ahead of me in line outside. Finally a young man took my order and I left holding my lukewarm, yucky tea and left. The old Panera on the corner next to Marc’s was so warm and welcoming and this freestanding one simply disappoints over and over. Good bye Sip club and good bye Panera.

Soooo slow and hate ordering with the kiosk. All the teas were empty and a bunch of unhappy customers.. my hot sandwich and soup wasn't exactly hot but I just wanted to get out.

I went to the drive-thru to get a coffee. When I pulled around, there was only one car ahead of me. However, I was in line over 15 minutes before getting my coffee! A few cars came up behind me. I didn't want to honk my horn so I called the restaurant to let them know of the long wait time and ask why they didn't have that customer pull over to one of the drive thru wait lines. But then, that car was finally served and I moved up. I never got an explanation but could see the server at the window was quite distraught. Not sure when I'll stop by again, but certainly hope the shift supervisor or manager takes more notice of drive through customers in line and wait time.

A cold and soulless corporate box of a restaurant. Such a shame as the one that was part of the adjacent building was always warm and welcoming. The staff too are less pleasant - perhaps as a result of their environment.Tonight I dined in - there were two elderly ladies in line in front of me. Nobody at the register. It was perfectly obvious to me and everyone else that they were waiting to be served, but the staff just ignored them until they ended up calling out for assistance. The young man who I think was the duty manager on that shift said “I’m sorry there are no cashiers“, and told them they would have to place their order at the automated touchscreens. The two elderly ladies left. I don’t blame them. The tables were dirty, the floors were dirty and nobody made you feel welcome. Why on earth would anyone ever come back to this location.
