We ordered the crab dip and the crab was bad. Could smell it when it walked up to the table. I got fettuccine with chicken and they gave me Penna noodles instead. And it tasted horrible, threw it away. The only thing that was good there was the dessert. Extremely disappointed

1833 has a beautiful standalone bar and all the ingredients to be a great gathering place, but the overall experience Once Again falls short. The food and bar menus are disappointing, and the restaurant seems to focus almost exclusively on Sunday brunch while the regular dining experience has suffered. It's frustrating to see a bar repeatedly run out of two popular draft beer selections, which reflects poorly on management (July 7th) The servers are consistently friendly, attentive, and courteous—they're the highlight of every visit. With a refreshed menu, better inventory management, and stronger leadership, 1833 could become the destination it was clearly designed to be.

1833 is one of my favorite restaurants in Oberlin and I have been going for years. However, tonight I had one of my best experiences. Our Bartender Katie was extremely attentive and helpful. The food was beyond amazing! Also, the bar patrons were friendly.

Stayed there for the first time this past weekend. I was very happy with everything. The hotel room was very nice, clean and conveniently laid out. The service was great from the time I called to book the room with Amber, through the entire stay through check out with Rebecca. Cora was very inviting and made us very good drinks, top notch really. The food was also very good. We had a quick snack.. the 1833 burger and fries so good 😋. Thanks for a great stay… we’ll be back!!

This was my first trip to Oberlin, and I'm upon researching restaurants in the are I came across 1833. The reviews were correct, this restaurant was great. The food and drinks were amazing, and the staff was the sweetest. Kristina was so hospitable and made our meal enjoyable. I will definitely come back again!
