Our food was not hot, our beef brisket and steak was tough. portions are very small. It took a long time to get seated and waited on. They were not busy. Our waitress stayed and talked and showed pictures on her phone to1 big table most of our time we were there.
We were turned away at the door an hour and a half before closing. The manager told me through a customer on the patio that the owner doesn’t want any more business tonight. They lost four customers that night.
There’s a saying in the restaurant business “You can spend years trying to get a faithful customer and lose him in a minute”.

The restaurant is praised for its delicious ribs, wings, steak, and BBQ chicken. Smokey's is considered a gem, worth a road trip to Ohio just for the experience.
