I just discovered Lake Donuts last month, and itās quickly become my favorite donut shop since the old City Bakery in Port Clinton. I grew up there and was sad to see it close, but this place more than makes up for itāespecially with how good their donuts are. The apple fritters are hands down the best Iāve ever had: crispy on the outside, packed with apple inside, and often still warm when I pick one up. Theyāre impossible to resist, which is why I find myself stopping in every Thursday and Friday before work.
On top of that, the friendly greeting I get each morning really sets a positive tone for the day. Great donuts, great peopleācanāt recommend Lake Donuts enough.

Wow. When I tell you, I didnāt want to stop eating this donut to take the picture, thatās how insanely good these Oreo donuts are. 10 seconds in the microwave with a glass of milk! YUM! And thatās the left overs from this morning!! This morning I had them fresh with absolutely profound customer service and deliciousness. I donāt know what drip coffee is, but Iām obsessed now! All around AMAZING experience. SO sad Iām not a local, but Iāll never forget you <3 And Iāll see you again before I leave!!

These are by far the best donuts Iāve ever had! You can taste the freshness. I normally donāt ever review places or products, but I felt compelled to because of how just how good these donuts are. My husband picked them up and said everyone there was very kind. We will definitely be back!

Wow!! Our first lake donuts experience! Super selection-not overwhelming crazy - just enough delicious to choose from. Fantastic flavor! Friendly folks greeted us and moved us through efficiently with smiles
This shop brings such a positive atmosphere to the community. You better get there early tho they always sell out. Ive seen complaints on the prices... my opinion only place in town, new to the community and most importantly SUPPLY AND DEMAND it should be expected. I think a few more options that aren't as sweet would be great but a GOOD yeast donut is hard to come by, even my favorite childhood shop were never as light or fluffy. A great treat for the end of a week!

Quite literally the best donuts Iāve had on my entire life!!
My hubby and I saw this shop while passing through town. We decided to check it out with only 5 min before they closed. The service was friendly the moment we walked in. And the donuts š© š were so good that I didn't stop eating them to even take a picture. They were so fresh and again it was right before close. Would highly recommend and will be back. Thanks ladies for being so friendly even when you were fixing to close and I kept changing my mind. š
