My entire vegan family ate here. They had 1 vegan soup option, 3 sandwich options, and 2 smoothie options. They also had 2 dessert options and a fridge that had some snack options (such as the Sabra avocado and toast snack pack, as well as vegan energy bites). It was helpful to look at the paper menu, which was more clearly labeled ("V" is vegan). Because I am gluten free, they offered to put the chickpea salad filling as a salad topping on a bed of lettuce with some veggies and avocado. It was really good, but It would have been nice if the gluten free bread was vegan (it was not). My family all had the black bean soup and Mega Veggie Wrap combo, which comes with a cup of soup and half sandwich for $12. We all enjoyed the soup. The lemon raspberry bars were amazing as well. Everyone ate, and I love that we all ate healthy and there were multiple options. The staff was also very friendly and helpful! I was surprised to find this place here, as vegan options are limited in this area. Thank you Happy Cow for helping my family find a place to eat, yet again!
Very nice place to have lunch at

Better than I expected from a local Café! Great lake vibes, latte was perfect, service was quick, friendly and organized. My kind of pit stop.

I had the soup and half wrap combo. The soup was potato leek, which was soooo good. The wrap was the chickpea salad, which was very tasty. I wish it would have had a bit more of the salad in it, though. For dessert, I had a chocolate torte bar, which was also delicious.
Love the dog friendly patio and excellent healthy food. Reuben and power boat salad with chicken were fantastic

My family stopped in for lunch. Very nice staff. Cute gift shop. Good food and atmosphere. Enjoyed dining out on the deck.
This place is a wonderful deli and bakery. The sandwich selection is good while the bakery selection is modest. It was a cold day and my party and I were looking for something to warm us up. We stopped at Rudder's Cafe and bought soup and some baked goods. They tasted wonderful and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We will definitely go back.
Nice decor, good service, but food nothing specia and too pricey. Alot of $$$ for what you get.
It's a quaint cafe with a nice selection of menu items and packaged foods, alcohol, and gifts. This place is seasonal, so it can get pricey and really crowded. I stop there whenever I'm on Catawba Island.

Best coffee in catawba! If I had to pick a favorite sandwich — I could eat the Rt 53 BLT every day of my life. The employees are all super kind!!
