“excellent drink prices, kinda crowded after midnight. gotta make sure you stand your place for seats and at the well for drinks, staff was friendly and very knowledgeable, knew how to make basically anything you just give them the recipie. 10 outta 10,... recommend.“
“My fiance & I seen this bar while walking downtown Portsmouth so we decided to stop in for a drink. The staff was very friendly but not knowledgeable about mixed drinks. She did have her phone ready to look up the drinks we ordered but was very open to my instructions to making them. They have a music machine (juke box) that has a huge variety of music which is nice. It wasn't crowded at all. They do have a back patio apparently where patrons can go have a quick smoke🚬. The prices aren't too high. I think I'd there would've been a better crowd (or any crowd for that matter) we would've definitely stayed longer.“
“Was staying in Portsmouth for a little, on a business trip. Mind you, I don't drink, but they had kareokee here, so I was the DD with a few friends. It was reaaaalllyy packed with a young crowd. mainly 21-35ish, sweet. Sorta long waits for drinks, but what can you expect on a friday night. Oh yeah, and careful not to get stuck holding the door between the patio/inside lol I was stuck for literally like a solid 5 mins waiting to get out, it gets crazy packed! Anyway, the bartenders were friendly and made good informants about some of the local girls I was curious about lol. These girls get super sloppy here lol. Anyway, the kareokee was very fun, everyone was in great spirits. The girls were pleasant and nice. and there's tons of them. 1 married buddy of ours went home with a woman 10 years older than him xD. My friends found me a girl, and we had fun at the hotel. Dunno what else to say, but coming here straight out of being locked up for a year and a half was so fun. I'll never forget this place. You guys are great, thanks for the memories.“
“I must say Heather you are absolutely amazing long Island Ice tea maker but however Thursday 02/09/23 I had to stop by cash in my 50.00 winning pulltab I had won from there and guess what? Yup 50.00 went back to Long Island ? ? ? ?♀️?♀️?♀️ but best money spent cause they where so much different. ? omg I have to add in this review and also share the photos I took. I couldn't believe what I walked out to on that beautiful 73 degrees day!! You have the most beautiful scene I ever seen in portsmouth for awhile. My mother moved to Idaho 25 years ago and I sent these to her and she was so tickled she loved it and Heather your grandpa is dancing( to the jukebox that he refused to have in his bar lol) in heaven. Proud his granddaughter has carried on with his family legacy of running a successfully bar. So If anyone is on 23 in portsmouth ohio and around the area I highly recommend you to stop in and have a nightcap or even a water,soda maybe game of pool to wind down from your day you had.?? it's relaxing,calm,social,fun and laughter atmosphere that I believe Heather will be seeing more of my husband and I when we are not working ? “Steak, pizza, lots of other choices. Everything I have tried there has been excellent. Building is amazing with lots of history, makes for an interesting dinner. Service was good and without issues, dining areas are spread out and did have to seek attention one time, but they were very busy.“
“This spot is movin' on up...in the Eastside lol! Okay, sorry. Had to. It's true though. They have been revamping Stadium Lunch for about a year. I've stopped in a few times, and it has only continued to improve! While not from Portsmouth, I graduated from SSU. I also found my husband there at Shawnee, and he is a local; from the infamous Eastend! My in-laws actually live right across the street from Stadium Lunch! It's only a hop, skip, and a jump away from the university! It's always been a long-time favorite for locals. I remember several of my friends' parents from Portsmouth, and my in-laws were going to hang out after work. Have a bite and a few drinks. Now, we are our parents' age then, and the new owners are ready for "us" to start doing this kind of thing again! A fire pit, Edison lights, and great outdoor seating, with a bar top to people watch!We live about an hour away, towards Cincinnati, but are in town a few times a month. At least for a few hours to check in on my husband's Dad and brother. My MIL, unfortunately, passed away last fall. This is when I began to pop into Stadium Lunch more frequently. The propreiters hadn't owned long but were sure to extend their condolences and a small gift at that time. Only knowing them from my FIL stopping into pick up dinner occasionally when my MIL didn't feel like cooking(she was a wonder too!) I am not sure they realize how much this touched our hearts and was incredibly appreciated. I stopped in shortly afterward to extend a thank you in person. I missed them both, but I did have some incredible pot roast, a quick drink, and small talk with some patrons. I brought some home for the whole family after eating! We've had some great burgers and bbq. My FIL sneaks over to get burgers more than we know of! This weekend, we were in for a short trip. Stopped in for a quick drink. While spring, it felt like a crisp autumn night. Great feeling.They have expanded their kitchen, so I'm looking forward to tasting what new homemade specials they will have! I follow them on fb, and they are always having great happy hour, lunch, and dinner specials. Thanks for feeding my father-in-law and always being kind!“
