“Went for breakfast.

Good quality diner food. We both had the half farmer breakfast, coffee, and ordered a stack of blueberry pancakes.

What I feel was a good value for the food that we got - had plenty of surprisingly affordable options on the menu.
Total cost before tip was $21.

The only thing I think was missing from the experience was some background music in the place - every single booth was filled with customers that morning, but the conversations were super quiet, felt like eating in a library.

Our server was great and attentive.

“I genuinely enjoy Battleground. The pozole is quite good as are their in-house beers (contact brewed at Modern Methods)
The flavors of all their food is always taste well blended. Though, moving here from out West and working in Mexico for years, I wish there was a bit more oomph (and a bit more kick).
My only real negative is their salsa Verde. It's a bit TOO tangy for my tastes and I think it could use a little more tomatillo. But to each their own.
They care about their food and that's obvious I'm every bite.”

“My husband and I ate lunch here today. It was our first visit. Everything was delicious! Falafel, grape leaves, beef shawarma, and chicken kebabs. The seasonings were perfection, and all the food was so fresh. We will definitely be back.”

“I had several bad experiences here in the past and was avoiding this play at all costs. last night I figured I would try one more time, glad I did, my server Bethani was fantastic, polite and very helpful, it was hands down the best burger I've ever had, whoever cooked it was on point, and my fries were very fresh and hot, you have once again earned my loyalty, and I plan on eating here a couple times a week now.”

Update...tried them again today (04-19-25) and both of the pizzas were wrong. one was supposed to be a supreme and we were given a cheese pizza. Then the manager blamed me and never so much as said sorry for the inconvenience. But he did hang up on me.”

“Tonight a friend I went to the New Berlin Brewery for dinner, hungry for German cuisine. It was our first visit and we could not have asked for more. We started with sauerkraut balls, which were huge and scrumptious. Dinner was schnitzel with spaetzle, including gravy with fresh mushrooms, and struedel, all made from scratch. The plating was beautiful, service was quick, and food was delicious. What a skilled chef!! To add to this special night out, there was the unexpected pleasure of guitar music and vocals by Nell, old favorites and original songs. Nell was even kind enough to ask if the volume was okay, and it was just right. The owners and the chef have an eye for perfection. Even the décor was just right with wonderful watercolor paintings of early scenes of New Berlin and the shiny, clean backdrop of brewery vats. Kudos!!! We will be back!”
